The town Kavos is located in the island Crete in Greece. It is the most southern holiday resort on the island approximately forty six kilometres from Corfu Town.

In the past, most visitors came from the United Kingdom, but today it attracts visitors from all over Europe. Beware among the more respectable revellers, theres also a high proportion of British lager louts. Most of the visitors to this resort are under twenty five.

Originally the town was a small fishing village.

It has over one hundred bars, many restaurants and discos. Over the years this resort has become the liveliest place in Corfu and definitely the place to be for young people or the young at heart, who want to party until dawn. The resort is packed with bars and clubs and is one of the most popular places to let your hair down in Greece. You certainly dont come here expecting a quiet holiday.

The party begins early in the afternoon and lasts up to sunrise or even later in the morning. There are lots of bars all flooded with people, the streets are full with people dancing and the music is heard throughout the entire region. As night progresses everyone moves to the clubs, where famous DJs keep the party alive until the morning light. Then, everyone moves again to the after clubs.

For those who dont want to follow this frantic rhythm and prefer something more romantic and relaxed, there are beach bars with chill out music, where they can enjoy their drink up to sunrise.

The Summer Club provides hot music for all tastes, clear drinks, sounds, lights, and fantastic atmosphere. The Venue club is situated right in the heart of the down town Kavos nightlife scene. Ask anybody or just follow the crowd. First opened in 1992 and the club has grown every year. The Club is for the people of the United Kingdom, and is a big as any United Kingdom club.

There is a five mile long beach extending alongside the town, with many water sports on offer, as well as some boat trips. Crash out in the sun all day on the long, narrow beach or indulge in some water sports. It is ideal for small kids and families, since the waters are safe and shallow. There you can enjoy all kinds of water sports water skis,bananas,jet skis, parachutes, diving, canoes and water bicycles. There are lots of swimming pools with pool bar in the area.

The athletic types, apart from water sports, there also exist other athletic activities like Go Karts, 5×5 football grounds, tennis and volley courts and for the riskiest bungee jumping and catapult.

Holiday accommodations includes a huge selection of bed and breakfast, holiday resorts, motels, hotels and apartments for you to choose from in.

Food is not a problem in Kavos. You will find all types of restaurants Barbecue, Fish , Italian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, English etc. Do not miss the traditional recipes of Corfu such as pastitsada, sofrito and bourtheto. Try the amazing fishes and seafood.

For those who get hungry during the day or night a lot of places stay open for a fast meal.
