First, some phones now come with locator features that would guide the user back to familiar territory. Second, children’s mobile phones can be equipped to be track-able in case they are lost. Their parents can then have a way to find them.
The third way people can get back on the right track is the somewhat old-fashioned way. If you are going to someone’s house, you can call them if you get lost. You don’t have to find a phone booth or a business that will allow you to use their telephone. Someone can call directly from the car and ask the person how to get to their home.
A second reason for having a cell phone is to use in case of emergencies. It is vital to get help as soon as possible if you are in a dire situation. The best way to reach someone that can respond to the crisis is to phone them. A cell phone allows you to call from anyplace there is a signal. Help will be on the way shortly. You will not have had to travel in search of help, possibly with injuries that should be kept still until help arrives.
If you have a major house fire, your cell phone will allow you to leave your house immediately and call the fire station from outside the dwelling. All you have to do is to pre-program the number into your phone, and you will be much safer than if you stayed in the burning building to call.
A third major reason for buying a cell phone is that you can help others when they are in need. A good example of this is when you see a car wreck along the highway. In the past, there may have been nothing you could do, especially if it was a little-used road. However, with a cell phone in your car, you can contact help for the people quickly and easily. It is just such situations as these where cell phones can save life and limb.
Kids now enjoy cell phones as a fashionable part of their culture. In fact, cell phones have become a part of the culture of all Americans, and of many people in other countries as well. It is easy to see why when you look back at all the important reasons people have for owning cell phones.
