Without the knowledge or ability to sponsor, then you are banking on yourself to do all of the work. In other words, you just create another job instead of a continuous income stream that is not 100% based on your efforts alone.

1. Take massive action and talk to a lot of people.

Most people think when they first start a Network Marketing business everyone they know will want to be a part of it with them. Wrong!

Most people will say no. There can be a variety of reasons including that these may not be the right people or that the timing may not be right for them.

Adopt the mindset of the 4-S’s. Some will, some will not, so what, someone is always waiting. With that mindset, you do not have to be overly concerned if they say yes or no. You just want to get to the yes or no to save yourself time.

If you talk to a lot of people, the numbers will work in your favor. Do not get disappointed or assume that any one person will want to get into business with you, you just do not know. The person that you think would be great might not see it, so what? Talking to a lot of people will lead you to the right ones so there is no need to worry. There are people out there just like you.

Do not assume anything. People that you think would not be interested in your business or have a need for it might turn out to be your best Distributors. Talk to everyone.

2. Taking action.

When you first start, you might think you have to do it exactly right or be perfect before you begin.

So your plan is to go to training and study all the information on the Internet about your company or product before you go to talk to anyone about it.

Bad plan. The most important step to take is to take action. Most people fail because they do not take action but are stuck in waiting mode. Wait until I learn, wait until I can talk to people perfectly, wait for the right person, wait for my upline to do it because they are better at it. The list goes on and on.

They are always getting ready to get ready and not doing anything. This wastes a lot of valuable time. You will make mistakes, but it does not matter. The right person does not care if you are perfect, they will see it.

Passion by far outweighs knowledge. Like the old saying ignorance on fire, people listen. You learn by doing so just go do it and you will get better.

3. Do not try to sell or convince your prospects.

Your job is to interview prospects and qualify them. You should give them the information and let them decide. You are in the business of providing information; you are not in the convincing business.

If you convince them to get into your business, they will not last. They will be gone in a short period of time. If they are the ones who see it, they will convince themselves.

When you interview the prospect, find out what he or she really wants. If their answer is a lot of money or being rich, then you need to ask more questions. Money is just a pile of dirty paper. It is not the money they really want, but what the money will do for them. Find out what they will do with the money. Get inside their heads and show them how you can help them get what they really want.

MLM: How To Prepare For The Knockers!

When you want to prevent something from infecting you body …. what do you do?

You get a shot …. or an inoculation.

There are many viruses and germs out there that can take away our health, and create a sickness in our body which can become a real problem if not dealt with. We need to keep up our physical health: and stay fit and well.

The same goes for our health in business; or in life in general.

When you join a Network Marketing Company, you are moving into a very focused environment that demands that your business health remain strong.

Why?

Simply put: there are a lot of negative people who can try to sabotage your business health and try to create doubt, disbelief, and even total failure if allowed to persist with their personal assault on your potential to succeed. Most people in this world never experience success of any significance in their lives, and far too many of those people will do their best to bring down others who may have the potential to succeed. Don’t judge them - just be aware!

You must make sure that you get an injection of anti-negative medicine and keep your business health at its 100% peak fitness level when you join an MLM Network Marketing Company!

Great idea: how?

By understanding why a lot of people are negative about your business and your future success, and if you can understand this, you will be innoculated from all negative thinking: no matter who it is, and no matter what type of business.

Most People do not want you to become successful and pass them by.

To them: it never has, and it never will work! That’s how they see life itself: and they will do their best to convince you by words and actions, that what you’re doing just simply won’t work. That’s their stuff: don’t let it be yours!

They have been successful at keeping their own success at bay, and they want to try to keep yours there too.

There can actually be exceptions to this rule: Yes, there are people out there who will want you to become successful and be your biggest cheerleaders, but MLM situations are simply not for them.

They will encourage you and tell you to go for it, and they could actually be great consumers of your product or service, and referral sources for your business, but just not part of the business. If you listen to your negative friends, and take notice of them, then take a look at their life: that is where you are headed. Once again: you have a choice to take notice of them, or to follow your own truth which is a path to success.

Good leaders don’t give any credability to negative influences.

Stay focused on the positives: in every aspect of life - and your business!

Take notice of how others have been successful and triumphed over the hurdles which may have been placed in their way: and then copy and model their focus; their attitudes; habits; actions; methods …. etc

Forget negative urgings: See how others have triumphed!

And …. take others with you!

Be a positive influence on as many people as you can …. every day!

As you move up the ladder of success, take as many as you can with you.

Your success may go through the gauntlet of ridicule, but don’t let it deter you.

You, and you alone will live your life: do not let someone else try to live it for you because what you are trying to achieve intimidates them. That’s their stuff.

Keep your business health in peak physical condition: stay fit and well.

Best way to achieve anything is stay focused on what you want (perfect business health); rather than on what you don’t want (negativity).

Basic Steps For Network Marketing

The first of a few network marketing strategies that I would like to discuss here is that you should learn all that you can from your upline. Find out what it is that they do to be successful and then copy it.

This will shorten your learning curve immensely. Pay close attention to what the other people around you are doing, and in particular what they are having success with, and repeat it. Don’t reinvent the wheel: there’s no need.

You must allow yourself to be teachable and open to learning new ways of doing things.

The second essential network marketing strategy is you must be organized.

You must have a system to keep track of who you have called and when.

You need have an organized system for you to be able to keep notes so that when you follow up with your prospects you can remember your prior conversations.

Relationship Hint: If they talk about something personal, or mention someone’s name who may be a family member or someone who is close to them (they may refer to a birthday, a new birth, a dog or cat’s name ….) write the information down so you can refer to it (casually) when next talking. This is about developing the relationship, and please always remember the importance of the relationships which you develop whilst prospecting, and how sound you can develop them by using simple little hints like this one.

The next prospecting network marketing strategy that I want to discuss is who you should look for while prospecting, once you have used up all of those personal contacts I mentioned in another article: Those personal and business prospecting lists I suggested.

Statistics actually say that the perfect prospect to look for are people who own a home, and that the best of the best are usually between 35 and 65. Just remember that: it’s a statistical fact. Yes, statistically speaking, these are the people that truly excel in network marketing. So, as with many other things, awareness is a valuable tool. Keep your eyes out for Mr or Mrs Perfect, but also learn to use your instincts and intuition when pursuing your propects as you develop the numbers which are critical for your business growth and success.

Always remember this: Learn Learn Learn. Soak up every ounce of information and the experience of others. Use any resource that you can find to help you be successful with your prospecting. Read books and take classes that will teach you new and effective prospecting paradigms. There is so much to learn when talking about the subject of prospecting for your network marketing home based business.

Actually, we all learn best through personal experience, so use the network marketing strategies that are given above as guidelines and then just go out there with a positive attitude and prospect, prospect, prospect!

You can do it!

Remember to be confident rather than arrogant; and stay focused on creating great relationships as you go. These relationships will be the foundation on which you build your very own network marketing empire.

MLM Or Network Marketing - What Is It Really?

MLM is considered basically a channel of distribution for goods and services that also can have a “Franchise” opportunity attached. You can join a network marketing company and build a representative group or team that you can obtain royalties from, and build an override structure from what they do.

And most people look at MLM as exactly that: a system for creating wealth through your efforts and the efforts of others!

Nothing wrong with that point of view: however, there is a huge gap in that reality. Before you can build a group that does not go away, you MUST understand what MLM really is from a big picture viewpoint … and all the rest will fall into place.

Network Marketing actually is this: Personal Development, wonderfully moulded into a business, that can be duplicated: over and over again!

Do you get that?

Please do yourself a favour and read it again.

What that means is MLM requires and pretty much demands Personal Growth and Personal Development from you in order for you to succeed.

There is no other way to succeed: here is the recipe …. Grow yourself: Grow your business!

Many people bring damaged attitudes, skills and habits to MLM, and with that, they try to build a business with skills that guarantee failure.

No, they don’t plan to fail, they just have not developed the necessary skills to the level that is required to succeed in an MLM environment…simple and plain. Those skills cannot produce success because they are not prepared and ready for success.

As it happens, most are never told that their skills are lacking and need refining and building, and that network marketing is not necessarily a walk in the park, and requires a sound skillset, and determination to use same persistently.

From where I’m standing, good leadership is the key to the MLM business.

You must learn to lead yourself and others on a path to flowing and sustainable growth, which will increase your odds of succeeding in MLM massively!

You must strive to learn the following:

1. Company and product information and how to present it concisely;

2. How to prospect in the most effective manner;

3. How to train your team members most effectively; and

4. How to duplicate the entire process and pass it on to others.

And how you do all of that will depend on the skillset you bring to your business; especially your communication skills.

Your results depend on one thing in the MLM environment, and everything else revolves around it: Creating great relationships through communicating with people!

A huge part of good leadership is knowing and practising masterful communication, and no matter how good you are with people, you must have a masterful skillset to communicate with people, and that is where Personal Growth is so important.

You must grow and develop your skills to the level that any MLM business demands: and that requires work, study, and that personal experience in the field that I mentioned earlier.

Most of the success stories did not come into network marketing with those skills already intac: they grew into the business …. day by day…. week by week …. call by call …. One small step at a time!

They worked their way to success through personal development and mastery in communication: Two key steps to both MLM and Leadership Success.

Therefore: Network Marketing is ….

1. A channel and business of distributing products or services;

2. A business of “Mini Franchises” that can be duplicated easily;

3. A direct sales business; and

4. A ‘people business’ for average people to grow to do extraordinary things!

As anyone who is seriously involved in network marketing, you are in the business of touching and changing people’s lives …. Including your own!

Within the MLM realm is a power to change people’s lives radically; in many ways; with what MLM can bring to it …. as well as bring to your own life. What you do with that life changing power is totally up to you!

You can tap into that power which is available to you and start a campaign of growth and success in your life; and then spread that new energy to others through the personal growth aspect, and increasing your own skills as well as others through thoroughly embracing and engaging this business on a daily basis, and teaching it to others, so they can do the same. An amazing thing happens - you teach and spread success exponentially!

Through Leadership.

Network marketing then is a power you have tapped into. A life-changing potential which demands growth from you, to be able to unleash that greatness inside of you, and then help others do the same. You are in fact teaching by a powerful example down through their individual businesses, which in turn is your very own business by virtue of how the system works.

Duplication then allows the same to happen by example: time and time again!

You lead; you teach others to lead; and they teach others to lead.

Network Marketing Strategies - Prospecting: The Foundation Of Success

This is about discovering and using the most important of all the basic network marketing strategies.

If you know anything about network marketing you know that the success of your business falls solely on only one network marketing strategy: Prospecting.

That’s what makes network marketing very simple for some and very hard for others.

Prospecting (definition): searching for potential clients, customers or candidates!

Q: What kind of people is network marketing extremely hard for? A: Those people who do not understand the importance of prospecting, have a very tough time with the business of network marketing.

Q: What kind of people is network marketing extremely easy for? A: Those people who do understand and practise the art of focused prospecting, have a very easy time with network marketing.

Therefore, if you want to be successful in your network marketing efforts you have to learn how to prospect, and how to prospect in the most effective way.

We will look at some of the basics here, but to really be effective at prospecting you have to have continual and progressive prospecting training and then put it all into action! Yes, practise, practise, and more practise!

Prospecting means going out on a limb for some; and for others it is a simple act of socialising with potential team members, and having a short, extremely concise description of your product or service, and an appropriate ’story’ regarding same, and using it without fear or an attachment to a particular outcome. Some people will show interest; and others won’t. It’s that simple! Develop a systematic approach; keep records of the people showing the slightest sign of interest (develop your listening skills here) and stay in touch.

N.B. Actually tell them that you will stay in touch; and lightheartedly let them know that you will be the ‘dripping tap’ until they show any signs of disinterest. That’s being authentic, and showing integrity (and tenacity), and you will be respected for it.

If you believe in your product or service; show genuine interest in telling others about it; and systematically contact your potential team members: you will develop a strong and repeatable habit of ‘knowing’, that without being offensive or an absolute pain in the arse with your friends and family, will start to work for you. In turn, you can then show others how to do the same, and they can do the same …. and so on.

This is developing a strong and sustainable team or network.

Here is a simple method of putting together two separate prospecting lists:

Firstly, put together a list of everyone you would invite to a personal and private party or function. Then contact them one at a time to tell them about your new venture. Don’t beat around the bush - be direct and open with people. Remember: Once you’re talking to them, go easy on family and friends by respecting their right to receive some information, but back-off the second you detect any negative reactions to your efforts. Secondly, put together another list of business associates or sporting team members, or any organisational contacts you may have, and then do the same methodical talking to each of them, one at a time.

Show confidence, rather than arrogance; and remember that some will show interest, and some won’t! Of those who show interest, you will encounter a variety of different levels of research and information required before they will show commitment; in some cases, a HUGE difference! We are all different, and some of us are convinced quickly and will make decisions accordingly; others won’t! They may even frustrate you in how much information or convincing they require; but while there is still interest there is still hope. Remember that golden rule: “I will be the dripping tap until there are any signs of disinterest”! Also remember this: People who require research and more convincing aren’t necessarily showing signs of disinterest, and you must learn to know the difference, as this is often the difference between winning Gold, Silver or Bronze medals in anything that we do!

Just in case you don’t know what the ‘dripping tap’ significance is: A dripping tap will eventually wear away even the hardest of surfaces under the point where the drips hit the ground (including concrete) and will eventually create quite a significant hole if left to continue dripping. People can be the same when put into any situation requiring follow-up, and if you actually tell the other person that you will be the dripping tap until told to be different, you will develop a strong but comfortable relatonship with them. That relationship will be based on respect and openness.

All business is about people: and the relationships with those people!
