Coming To Terms With Your Exact Body Type

Posted by Getanabolics in Muscle Building

Many people do not know their body types. As much as they have been walking around with the same body for a period that can only be compared to their age, they still don’t know where to fit. Some don’t even know how to define themselves based on the body type. It is very difficult to build your body well if you don’t know who you are. Due to my concern for your body building exercise, I write this text to let your know yourself. Use my explanations of the three main body types to find your space.

As I have just started, there are three body types. These are the ectomorphs, mesomorphs, and endomorphs. Most people will fit into these three categories. They are mainly based on the physical appearance of an individual’s body. As I had promised before, I will discuss each of the three into details to let you know who you are. An ectomorph are individuals who is always fragile such that very petty thing may hurt them. They are also very thin people with flat chest exposing the shape of their ribs in most cases. Their body physique is delicately built and in most cases they appear young. Most of the ectomorphs are tall and not so much muscled.

Their muscles are light and natural i.e. not brought about by any training. In most cases, ectomorphs have a stooping-shoulder which forms a curve-like towards the chest. This makes then stoop vary fast than any of the other two categories during old age period. In most cases, ectomorphs are so bright due to their large brains. This characteristic is not constant since cleverness is relative and is influenced by a lot of external forces like the one’s background among others. This group of people has a lot of problem in gaining weight. They can try to perform all sorts of exercise but with limited progress in the overall body building.

They are the people who normally give up easily in body building. Finally on the ectomorphs, their muscle growth takes a longer period than any of the other two categories. It is therefore a body type that requires a lot of patience when in the process of body building. The patience should be maintained by the body builder and the trainer, incase one is trained by a professional.

The second category is called the mesomorphs. These are individuals endowed with good athletic body which is always appeal to the public. Their bodies normally have that hard outlook and in most cases muscular. They appear more mature than their actual age a trait which is taken with some mixed reactions among the people in this group. Some are positive about it while others are against it, the difference being on the personality of an individual. In most cases the mesomorphs have a rectangular appearance in their body physique.

They have a thick skin which is quite appealing especially when you add to their ever upright posture which makes them look like they are commanding every crowd they find themselves into. One complexity with this group of people is their tendency of gaining weight quite easily. The funny part of it is that just as the weight was gained easily so will it be lost easily. The last thing you must know about the mesomorphs is that their muscle growth is so quick.

Let me finish by telling you something about the endomorphs. These are the lucky people endowed with very soft skins. They don’t need to spend a lot of money trying to make their skins soft. They are normally flabby with poorly developed muscles that cannot be seen in their outlook. These are the people who normally give doctors a hard time looking for their veins incase of a blood transfusion or something to that effect. They have that round shape which in most cases is not liked by many. These are the people with an overdeveloped digestive system. They therefore eat and within no time they will be crying for more food. They normally gain wait so fast and experience lot of trouble when attempting to lose weight.

Up to this level, you can know who you are so that you can clearly go for the right training for your body building process. I wish all the best in your body building exercise.

Parent-Sons Clash Over Body Building

Posted by Getanabolics in Muscle Building

Body building is an exercise and should not be a contentious issue between parents and the youth. Many are the instances where parents have differed with their sons over the topic. Some parents view their 14-16 year old sons as too young to embark in body building. The sons on the other hand feel that the time is ripe for them to start the whole exercise. To bring the whole issue to rest, something should be done.

The youth should start by appreciating the concerns of their parents. They should appear mature enough to let their parents know that they understand their (parents’) fears. In fact the greatest fear may be that body building may affect the normal growth or education of the youth. This may not be the case in factual terms, but something which the parents may tightly hold to. The youth should therefore make his responsibility be seen.

As a young man just starting the whole process, it would be risky to start by carrying heavy weights which the energy available cannot support. The best way is to start by carrying manageable weights as you make a slow steady progress. Worst still, it is a hazardous to involve in some level of training when one really don’t understand the procedure. This may expose the young trainee to some injuries, something which the parents may take as a tool to justify their position. If at all one can afford a trainer, consult him or any other professional body builder to introduce you to the whole process.

Use of steroids is another serious thing a young trainee should avoid. It is not good especially to one who is still going to school because some of them may even make an individual feel some bit of dizziness. This may affect a student’s concentration in class. As much as steroids may be an option for the developed body builder, a first timer in the field should not embrace the drug. One should make efforts to explore the natural way of building muscles first before thinking of steroids. It should also be noted that steroids also have their own dangers and keeping off the drugs is a sure way of staying safe.

I’ll always stress the role of diet in body building. For a starter especially, one should always be taking balanced diet. Proteins, greens and essential fatty acids are some important nutrition that should appear in the diet of a body builder. A starter who is still under the care of the parent may face some challenges concerning diet. This is because he may not have a final say on what is to be prepared in the house for meals. It is therefore recommended that he engage the parents in a transparent discussion over the diet in relation to his body building exercise.

Linking body building to academic performance may not match well. Training is something that can be done for at most one hour in a day. One hour out of the 24 hours may not be enough to affect ones performance. More so, in a week the training can be done for only three days with a day’s break in between. A total of three hours in a week may really not be reflected an individuals performance.

The final message to the starter is that he may not go far with the exercise of body building minus the support of the parents. Therefore the image one creates out of his choice to be a body builder counts a great deal for it can make one be accepted or rejected in the family. I propose a positive image. Are you in? Then follow what is discussed in this text.

Choice Of Protein Products For Bodybuilders

Posted by Getanabolics in Muscle Building

Proteins are the basic materials with which our bodies are made of. This means the primary components of our muscle tissue are proteins. We need to keep replenishing our daily uptake of foods rich in proteins our muscles are to continue being built. There various sources of proteins.

Different sources of proteins are readily available to the average bodybuilder. In fact, almost everyone is aware of their importance in one way or another. The problem arises when it comes the implementation bit. Meat, milk, eggs and fish are household names to those of us who try to adhere to the three components of a balanced diet. There exists other less common sources but with surprisingly high levels of protein content. Whey poses awesome source of protein for those with problems immediately after the exercises. This is due to its high rate of digestion and absorption into the blood stream. Casein, is equally rich in proteins only the rate of absorption is extremely low, making it ideal as a meal for dinner, just before bedtime.

Eggs have an absorption rate that ranges somewhere in the midrange of the two proteins mentioned above. Nutritionists strongly recommend it for conversion of excessive conversion of excessive fats into amino acids in the body. Soy is a favourite of vegetarians due to its being the only complete plant protein source. It is ranked alongside other animal proteins save for its low ranking in terms of the rate of absorption.

The few types of proteins that double as both supplement and as a primary or natural source are classified under the term blends. These are combinations of different types of proteins, as the name suggests. Their effects are obvious: they encompass a combination of all the benefits of their constituent components while at the same time retaining a unique identity due to their overall effect. For instance you get what you want without the pain of having to stop by and shop for many different items. The results are overwhelmingly desirable and include speed of absorption, prolonged body nourishment and instant and easily noticeable body response.

The effects of protein supplements in the long-term though, are a matter of grave concern to many bodybuilding enthusiasts. The worry stems from the many confusing labels- cum-brand names that have flooded the market and have the potential to mislead even the most informed among us. The two more proteins, namely low carb and weight gainer, are often easily confused and unscrupulous sellers take this advantage to their own financial benefits.

Low carb refers to either weight-gaining or weight-losing supplements. These two ends are complete opposites of each other but occupy the extreme ends of the same spectrum. For bodybuilders, the weight losers are the main concern. Dieting comes to the fore at the expense of the presupposed nutritional value of the weight-gaining protein supplements.

On the other hand, weight-gaining supplements are high on calories and are quite healthy for those bodybuilders who feel the need to increase their body weight. Yes, it happens. A classic example is those who are convalescing from serious health problems.

Importance Of Fats To Bodybuilders

Posted by Getanabolics in Muscle Building

The term fat refers to the white or yellowish substance in the bodies of animals and human beings, especially just under the skin, which helps to keep the body warm. The consensus among bodybuilders is that consumption of fats should be kept to the barest minimum. When one is seen taking fats and working out at the same time, this is seen as lack of seriousness, ignorance or sheer waste of time. We should note that there exist many different types of fats, each serving specific function.

To begin with, saturated fats are best avoided because they have been proven to bring more problems than benefits to the body. This category is made of animal fats which are generally in solids in nature. One of the most serious conditions brought about by this category is the heart disease. However, taking minimal amounts of animal fats is beneficial to the bodybuilder because cholesterol, which is found in saturated fats, is known to increase the rate of muscle contraction and relaxation.

Although this has never been fully proven using sound scientific procedures, the link is closely made between the amount of saturated fats and the level of testosterone in a direct proportion relationship. Testosterone is directly linked with increase in the size of the muscle groups.

Various researches have been done which hint at this suggestion. When the level of saturated fats was low, the level of testosterone also went low. What remains is to undertake a control experiment and ascertain whether other factors could have come into play and override the presumed conclusion. These researches were founded on the objective of emphasizing the importance of fats in a bodybuilder’s diet.

In addition to fats, some compounds of fats have been subjected to close scrutiny. Fro instance, fatty acids are generally acceptable to bodybuilders as they contain some traces of essential substances such as Omega 3 oil.

Functions of fatty acids to Bodybuilders

Fatty acids contain chemical substances responsible for generation and regulation of an orderly sequenced heartbeat. Secondly, the immune system is boosted because the production of peroxide with fats as a catalyst which is an important regulator in the immune system. Its specific role is fighting inflammation by triggering counteractive responses. They also help in the maintaining of body tissues such as bones, in collaboration with other mineral elements in the body such as iron and vitamins.

From the above discussion it is clear that fats, when used well in diet are helpful for muscle enlargement, immunity and overall body health. Fatty acids should take the largest chunk of the diet as they have a bigger share of benefits.

The main disadvantage of excess fats in the body is that it is not easily converted into energy. This means that it has an ‘accumulating effect’ in the body. The normal tendency once you start gaining weight is that you will accumulate more and more weight. Fat becomes a critical element in the body only when there is starvation. In this case, the body resorts to converting fat into energy for metabolic functions. Otherwise, fat always accumulates in your body.

Natural And Professional Body Building

These two terms are very common among body builders and in body building literature. Some use these two terms, professional and natural, interchangeably in body building talks. This is as a result of misinformation abundant in the industry. Nothing could be as far from the truth, because in reality, professional and natural body building are two conceptual meanings worlds apart.

So what does the term professional body building refer to? In the contemporary body building industry, a professional body builder means a body builder who engages in the practice for competitive purposes and has already won necessary qualifying contests. A professional body builder develops his body muscles and tones them up as a career and as a way of making a living. To qualify for the title of a professional body builder, a person must have progressed competitively from being a body building amateur until he earns the ‘pro card’ from the regulating organization in his jurisdiction. In the US and many other developed nations, such a pro card issued by the IFBB.

Professional body builders have earned the right to individually compete in registered or sanctioned body building contests such as the Arnold Classic, the night of Champions among other prestigious body building competitions. In some contests especially in Australia, professional body builders can indeed compete as a part of a team. Good performance ratings or placing in world standings after each of these sanctioned contests, earns the participants a right to compete at the Mr. Olympia. Mr. Olympia contest is the single title currently esteemed as the highest possible accolade in professional body building circles.

What about natural body building? Natural body building is the endeavor of building compact, voluminous and well toned muscles by natural means, that is, without using synthetic performance enhancers and supplements. Natural body building is the antonym of substance enabled muscle building and underscores the importance of allowing the body to grow and develop muscles through natural processes and substances.

All natural body building contests involve routine tests for synthetic illegal substances. Any body builder found to have even marginal traces of any of the listed substances is automatically banned from future contests. Substance abuse testing is commonly done on impromptu samples of urine, although most regulating bodies especially in the west are currently high tech gadgets for chemical analysis of the blood.

In natural body building, what may qualify as substance abuse may be the use of any substance prohibited by legal and regulatory bodies. Such definitions vary across the foray of natural federations, and in most times do not necessarily incorporate only the substances listed as illegal by laws of the particular jurisdiction. In a nut shell, natural body building abhors such substances as Anabolic Steroids, Diuretics, Prohormone, Human Hormone Concentrates and all other synthetic performance enhancing substances.

In practice, most of these substances are widespread and in frequent use by professional body builders despite being banned by most natural organizations. Currently dominant natural body building organizations include Natural Physique Association (NPA), North American Natural Body Building Federation (NANBF), among others.

While professional body builders stick to their trade for the high dollar, natural body builders persistently assert that their efforts are primarily focused not only on competition but also on a healthy lifestyle.

A Quick And Efficient Muscle Gaining Nutrition Plan

I want you to conduct a small experiment. Pick three magazines at random, the probability of reading an article on weight lose or weight gain techniques is 2:1.This is because the new craze for everyone irregardless of the age or gender is how to maintain body fitness. This in turn has lead to a flood of useless information, which creates a lot of confusion to the general public. If you are not careful with where you get your information from you could fall victim to a lot of quacks who are pretending to be experts.

If you want to attain your vision you require more weight, more sleep, and definitely more food. With the current inflation afflicting food prices we need to come up with an effective nutrition plan which will fit the size of our paycheck.

Here are a few areas you can cut down on cost without compromising your weight gains.
1. The Supplements
Many people are all for the idea of supplements and other forms of high energy drinks. You could instead go for creatine monohydrate and not creatine ethyl ester. Or in simple terms you could take a cup of coffee which will also provide you with 85% of the benefits high energy drinks will provide but a much lower cost. You could manage to do away with many supplements you have been using apart from multi-vitamins without noticing major changes on the rate you’re progressing.
2. Food
For most informed body builders it is common knowledge that you should for organic food in your meals. It is however important you understand just what needs to be organic and what doesn’t. Fruits and vegetables need to be organic, but for others like grains and animal products they do not have to be organic. When deciding on the animal products to use, go for the grass fed beef and dairy products. You should also go for cheaper natural sources of protein because they are normally very expensive.
It is strongly advisable that you don’t use artificial proteins. This is because they have very negative side effects such as; developing of breasts in men, reducing of sperm count in men leading to infertility, reducing a mans libido and reduction in size of their testicles, in females they may start to walk and talk like men. Synthetic proteins also inhibit serious muscle building as they make the anabolic environment less conducive. Synthetic proteins are harmful to both your life and muscles development.
3. Hit the Gym
You will be surprised at how many people have acquired membership in more than one gym. This is unnecessary expenses because in most cases there is no need for dual membership in more than one gym. In essence the best way to cut down on gym cost is to make your own private gym at home using simple equipments. You can also volunteer to be cleaning the gym so as to save on your membership cost.

Remember that you should not let the current rate of inflation deter you from attaining your goal.
