Accelerating Your Online Business Growth Using The Very Latest Free Advertising Methods

Posted by Micol1212 in Free Tools and Resources

Free advertising goes hand in hand with the Internet. If you search Google for the term Free Advertising you will find some 288 million results. That’s not just confusing, thats totally mind boggling.

Where do you start, and more to the point how do you figure out which ones work and which don’t. You try a few, you waste lots of time and energy and before long you stand the chance of being burned out before you even make a sale.

There is another way.

It’s the Search Sub Engine, you can list your business as many times as you wish and unlike any other free method the Search Sub Engine is also a search method used by millions of surfers everyday. People who are looking for the very product you are selling, only previously, they were unable to find you.

You list in a category or sub category that suits your business best. and all the while you are listed on the Search Sub Engine your listing will rotate towards the very top, the #1 result, ensuring that you always receive your fair share of any traffic generated.

It doesn’t take a genius to immediately see the benefits this can bestow on your business. Reaching the top position for your search criteria is very likely your #1 goal for your business.

You will definitely have been striving for this position with the search engines since day one of your business. But it’s not so easy with the search engines, and that’s simply because there are only so many top spots to fill.

It’s likely that the top spots with the search engines are constantly occupied by long established companies or those fortunate enough to have a massive advertising budget. This leaves you and your business struggling to feed off the very slim pickings and surfers that may eventually venture further out with their search and perhaps accidentally stumble across your website.

With Search Sub Engines this cannot happen. It doesn’t matter to a Search sub Engine if you have the largest advertising budget available, it wont buy any favor.

Every single listing, whether that be the fortune 500 company or the sole online trader has exactly the same opportunity to harvest their fare share of the traffic it generates. So such competition, the main competition, that for top spot, doesn’t exist.

Nor can any home page sponsored ads be purchased, or top of the page sponsored links. You wont find any adsense or other forms of distraction which might pull visitors away from your website. And no one, other than the Search Sub Engine itself is able to make use of banner ads, so everything remains as fair and as even as it can possibly be.

The Search Sub Engine offers everyone, website owners and searchers alike, something previously not available on the Internet and that is a perfectly equal opportunity for all and a free on at that.

So, it stands to reason, that you should at the very least, give it a try. And it makes sense to add it to your arsenal of reliable traffic generating tools.

Discover Free Advertising And Promoting Your Business On A Small Budget

Posted by Micol1212 in Free Tools and Resources

Advertising on the Web at one time relied almost completely on marketing by email. It was a very dollar friendly advertising method and ruled supreme for quite a long time. But as things and people progressed it was edged out beyond its uses and the result was spam. The fact is it rose to such an levels that governments throughout the world rushed to pass new laws outlawing many forms of email marketing and the people operating it. In so much as they almost killed it off completely.

In its wake we had adwords and various other pay per click systems. Although very results driven at first. Paid for promotional campaigns can get very costly. Certainly you see visits and the method does work but its does leave a little to be desired. Adwords campaigns can quite easily cost you far more than you could ever hope to make if the scheme or the information you are promoting carries a low ticket price. Especially when we see keyword bids exceeding the 100 dollar mark per click.

Then it moved on to list compiling and permission based emailing and each website you go to requires your personal information prior to being able to view what they have to offer. After which you get invaded with emails selling you everything from penis enlargement to scams. This is no more than a new method of email spam but it’s permission based. Hence the term permission email marketing. Excellent if your affiliate scheme is built in a way as to capture or collect email addresses from the visitors and you have a penis enlargement product to promote but you have to get the visitors first or you can’t sign them up to receive your item.

So how do we do this without using spam, adwords or the latest advertising wave adsense.

What we all want is to get our website visited. Either by utilising the systems described prior or staying with SEO. Search Engine Optimization is no longer an option for most people simply because it is now glaringly obvious that the quickest way to push your site in the top search engine results is to throw unlimited amounts of cash into it, to bring in the all important links.

When it comes to links. Not so far back, when it was completely accepted that arranging reciprocal links with sites that complimented yours was the way forward but now with the rise and rise of adsense this is being cast aside also.

Adsense is just another method of adwords only now instead of just seeing it on the right hand side of your Google search you find it on virtually every site you visit. This isn’t dollar friendly advertising due to the link to pay per click and adwords so where does that leave us and what does the future hold.

The Web is renowned for its inventive approach to any and all obstacles that are placed in its way and advertising your website without breaking the bank is just such an obstacle.

Now we witness the emergence of the Search Sub Engine a new innovation that’s all set to move free business advertising on the Net to a higher plain. Using the Search Sub Engine you can advertise your site for weeks for just a couple of dollars and as this phenomenon grows it will no doubt bite into the advertising business already enjoyed by the search engines themselves.

Search Sub Engines promise to be adsense free and external advertisment free which won’t put any pressure under the noses of the surfer. This should get them directly to your business without any diversions.

Search Sub Engines also rotate your listing to enable everyone to have the opportunity to reach the pinnacle top result and pull in those visits, which is more than we have ever had from any of the previous forms of advertising.

Looks to be a fantastic idea and an excellent method to advertise for free, and so not breaking the bank. Lets just hope it takes off and if it does, that they don’t go down the same road as all the others by becoming too greedy.

Play Games On The Internet

Posted by JDDunn9 in Free Tools and Resources

Everyone likes to take a break from work now and then, and thanks to the internet, there are plenty of ways to spend our downtime. With a variety of webpages and a number of games designed to be played over the internet, you can easily find a game you’ll enjoy and online friends to play it with.

The easiest way to play games online is to do a quick internet search for game sites. You’ll find millions of hits right off, so it might help if you know what kind of game you want: puzzle, action, board game, etc. You’ll find a much more manageable list once you narrow it down a bit. Once you’ve done that, it shouldn’t take you very many links to find a game you love.

Another way of finding a great game to play online is to search one of the major game sites. Yahoo games and MSN games both have a large number (I’d say around a hundred) games you can play in a variety of categories. What’s nice about these sites is that they have both single player games that you can enjoy alone or multiplayer games that usually include a chat function. Yahoo, for example, has hearts, dominoes, and scrabble that you can play against people around the world.

Once you find a game you like, some of the sites offer downloadable versions that you can save on your computer to play any time. Some of these are free; some require a small fee to purchase the game. Often, the games that do require a fee include more levels or extra features not available in the online version.

Here are some of the most popular online games:

Slingo - Slingo has been around for quite some time. This interesting game is a combination of bingo and a slot machine. You have twenty rounds to fill in the entire board (a black out card, as it’s called in bingo). Instead of someone drawing numbers, though, you get five random numbers that appear as if from a slot machine. The game includes some bonuses like gold coins (bonus points), jokers (wild cards), the devil (he takes away half of your points), and the angel (she saves you from the devil).

Text Twist (aka Word Whomp and several other names) ‘ This is a great game for anyone who likes words. You get six random letter tiles and have a specific amount of time to make as many words from them as you can. In many versions, you have to make at least one six-letter word to move on to the next level.

Bejeweled - This internet classic has you trying to match at least three of the same type of jewel together to make them disappear. The game is so popular it has spawned a sequel and is available for download from many different sites.

Diner Dash - Another incredibly popular game, Diner Dash puts players in the role of a waitress who has to seat customers, get their drinks, take their orders, deliver their meals, and then bus the tables. Of course, you have to do all of this while making sure customers don’t wait in line too long and impress the food critics!

Poppit - The objective of Poppit is to pop as many rows of the same-colored balloons as possible. If you manage to pop them in the right order, you’ll be able to eliminate all of the balloons and receive a massive bonus point. If you don’t and you end up with more than five balloons left, it’s game over!

These are just a few of the great internet games out there that you can play. All of them are pretty addicting and very fun, too! Just don’t have too much fun - your boss might not want you spending all day on a game site!

Two Ready-Made Speachlets

Posted by Jimmycox in Free Tools and Resources

Have you not been called upon for a few remarks and know by experience some of the embarrassments such a call entails?

The following two speechlets, embrace a pleasing variety of wit and wise sayings appropriate for many occasions. All successful speakers admit the great advantage of being prepared. Robert Ingersoll, one of the greatest orators that ever lived, denied there ever was impromptu speaking. He claims that all speeches of merit must be prepared. Few men make so many speeches as Chauncey Depew. He admits that he prepares his speeches in advance and goes loaded for the occasion.

“Preparation is the real art of speaking to please,” said Tom Marshall. “They tell of my astonishing bursts of eloquence. I simply write out my speech in full and commit it to memory.”

BEING SUDDENLY ASKED TO SPEAK

This call is really a surprise. I am a very bashful man, but unfortunately am so constructed physically as to be unable to make people understand that I am backward about coming forward. If a bashful man knows he has to speak it just spoils all his fun; he can’t enjoy the entertainment a bit until his part of it is over.

If friends must expose my inability to talk well, thanks are due them for not letting me know I should be called upon and allowing me to thoroughly enjoy myself up to this time. I have talked with men who have a reputation as after-dinner speakers who assured me that they could not half enjoy a dinner while trying to pull together thoughts worth uttering at its close.

It is said even of Chauncey Depew, that in company with ladies he was looking over a famous collection of paintings, among which was one of Daniel in the lion’s den. One lady asked why it was that Daniel, who was in great danger, should look so happy and contented. Mr. Depew said he thought Daniel appeared so happy because he knew that when the banquet was over he would not be called upon for an after-dinner speech. ‘A touch of nature makes the whole world kin.’ There are others who feel shaky about speech-making.

A boy wrenched his leg, and his mother insisted on calling in an osteopath. This party manipulated the leg very freely and rather roughly for a time, then assuring the mother that he had everything in place and that the boy would soon be well, took his leave.

The mother, thinking such manipulations must have been painful, complimented the boy on his courage and fortitude during the ordeal. The boy replied: “You don’t think I was fool enough to give that osteopath the sore leg.” If not satisfied with my talk I can take refuge in claiming that the wrong leg was pulled.

FAREWELL REMARKS

At this parting banquet you call for farewell remarks, and since the time my wife surprised me kissing a pretty girl I’ve not been at such a loss for speech. My remarks on that occasion might have been appropriately alluded to as ‘the infinity of silence.’ There is a saying that “out of a full heart the mouth speaketh,” but I find it about as difficult to talk when the heart is full as when the breath is short. The ‘lump in the throat’ is worse than a strangle hold.

There are billows far out on the ocean That never will break on the beach; So waves upon waves of emotion May find no expression in speech.

I find myself ‘too full for utterance,’ full of gratitude for many proofs of your friendship and esteem; full of regret for being under the necessity of severing my connection with ’so goodly a company.’ What can I say that is fitting and worthy of this occasion? When most we feel, then are we least capable of giving our emotion vent in well chosen words. Elegant diction can seldom grace farewell remarks, for: “Of all such speech the silent part is best; of all expression, that which cannot be expressed.” What is harder to appropriately frame in words than the bitter-sweet of farewells?

The above two speechlets will be appropriate to many occasions and will make you an instant success. Good luck!

What Is The Julian Date Calendar?

Posted by Elathrop in Free Tools and Resources

In 46 B.C. Julius Caesar introduced the Julian calendar. It is also sometimes referred to as the Julian date calendar. Caesar did this in an attempt to standardized dates. Before this time there was no dependable way to do this.

Each year’s length varied as the pontiffs, who were the men in charge of making up the numbers and lengths of months, changed things constantly. They added and subtracted days, and sometimes, even months to try to keep the dates in line with the solar and lunar schedule.

This new Julian calendar included the concept of leap years. This was a concept that was brilliant and ahead of its time. With the Julian calendar, leap years occurred every four years. Having an extra day once every 4 years helped to prevent years from becoming too short. Still, though this concept was sound, it was not perfect.

The Gregorian calendar

In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII instituted the Gregorian calendar. After many centuries had passed, Easter Sunday had been arriving closer to January. Having leap years occur every 4 years actually overcorrected the problem of the years being too short.

A mechanism to correct this problem was needed. Easter Sunday depends on full moon cycles and the vernal equinox. Because of this, Easter’s date had moved up too far to maintain Easter as a springtime event.

The way the Gregorian calendar differs from the Julian is that it has 3 fewer leap years for every 400 hundred years. How does this happen? Finding out how the Gregorian calendar makes this adjustment requires knowing how leap years are determined with both the Julian and Gregorian calendars.

How Leap Years are Calculated

With the Julian, every forth year is a leap year. It is as simple as that. If you divide the year by 4 and the answer is a whole number, it is a leap year. So, 4 AD was a leap year. 8 AD was a leap year. So was 300. 1900 would have been a leap year also, if the Julian calendar had still been used in 1900.

With the Gregorian calendar, if the year is evenly divisible by 4 it is a leap year unless it is divisible by 100. If it is evenly divisible by 100, it is not a leap year unless it is divisible by 400. For example, 1896, since it is evenly divisible by 4, was a leap year. 1900, though it is divisible by 4, it is also divisible by 100 and so no adjustment was made to February in 1900.

1996, being divisible by 4 was a leap year. 2000 was also a leap year because, though it was divisible by 100, it was also divisible by 400. Another way of looking at it is that there was no February 29 in 1700, 1800 or 1900, even though these numbers are evenly divisible by 4. However, there was a February 29 in 1600 and 2000.

The World’s Calendar Since 1753

Though Pope Gregory XIII made the Gregorian calendar official in 1582, not all countries were subservient to the pope. Great Britain was one of these countries. The colonies, which are now part of the United States were, of course, owned by Great Britain at that time so, the Gregorian calendar was not recognized in The Colonies in 1582. Instead, it was adapted in 1753. This means any dates noted before 1753 in the U.S. and many other parts of the world are questionable.

We still use the Gregorian calendar today and we probably will use it for a long time to come because it has made the necessary correction to the Julian concept. Still, even though it is very accurate, the Gregorian calendar is off by 3 minutes and 39 seconds each decade. This means we will gain a day over the next 40 centuries.
