Rip-Off Enlargement Methods

Posted by Onewil486 in Alternative Medicine

Most men are very concerned with penis size, and how their penis measures up to other men’s. Because of this, men have tried all sorts of ways to enlarge their penis. Some can be harmful and can cause discomfort to them, while many others are expensive or simply ineffective.
Studies have shown that most men are interested in penis enlargement. In fact these studies show that most men are not satisfied with their penis length or their sexual performance. They are also dissatisfied with the firmness of the erect penis, but are unwilling to talk with their doctor about what they perceive as a problem.
Many men are convinced that their penis is not large enough to satisfy their lover. This leads to an overall lack of confidence when making love, and this lack of confidence often leads to a softer erection, which feeds the problem by often leading to feelings of inadequacy. This can even lead to relationship problems as these feelings take root and deepen.
Feeling that you are an unsatisfactory lover leads to a lack of desire to have sex, which the woman in your life may interpret as sexual rejection. This can lead to further misunderstanding regarding sex and the relationship, and often leads to serious problems between couples.
The adult entertainment industry is full of ads for products and programs for the enlargement of the penis. The products include pills, creams and sprays that claim they will cause penis growth. These claims range from the scientific to the outrageous. Below we talk about penis enlargement methods that DO NOT WORK:

Enlargement Creams
Over the last few years, advertisements have been popping up for creams that claim that they will enlarge the penis with regular use. Do they work? Medical evidence has demonstrated that no topical preparation can do more for you than to increase blood flow in the area, which may aid in other programs and may also assist in erection firmness, but these preparations can do nothing on their own to promote actual penis enlargement.

Penis Pumps
One of the most common product advertised for penis enlargement is the penis pump. It can be seen on sale on the internet, in adult bookstores and magazines, and even in drug stores. The pumps work by creating a vaccuum around the penis and bringing blood to the tissue. This can assist men with extremely poor circulation to have an erection.
There is no actual medical evidence that penis pumps cause any actual increase in the size of the penis. Some men may even find that if they use a penis pump over a period of time that they will be unable to get an erection without using the pump.

Using Weights
Men have used this method of penis enlargement for hundreds of years. Basically you hang weight from your penis in order to stretch it. Many ancient and tribal people practiced this method. Does it work? Over time, with regular use, you can achieve greater length using this method. The drawbacks include a thinner penis, and because of the stretched tissue, often less ability to achieve and maintain an erection.
This method can also cause decrease in blood circulation to the penis, which can lead to serious problems including tissue damage.

Enlargement Surgery
Surgery is a big step, and an expensive one. More importantly, it can lead to serious complications like infection. It can also lead to scar tissue formation which can cause a misshapen penis. A common form of penis enlargement surgery involves taking your body fat and injecting a small amount into the penis. This does not cause significant change in length, although it can make a difference in girth.
Some men have the connective tissue at the top of their penis cut, which does not actually enlarge the penis, but does cause it to jut further out from the body. Of course, having less support, your penis will not stand up as far from your body as it did previous to the surgery.
Penis surgery doesn’t change your ability to get an erection, or the firmness of that erection. This is caused by blood flow in the penis.
Enlargement pills - 99% of these are rip-off pills which are nothing more than vitamin pills, some do work but be careful of which ones you do choose.

How To Deal With A Sinus Headache

Everyone experiences headaches every now and then and they can be brought on by many different reasons. A Sinus headache is one of the many kinds of headaches which is often associated with sinusitis or an inflamed sinus. An inflamed sinus blocked the nasal passage which triggers the pain in your head.

All of us have sinuses. It is located in the center of the face which is differentiated into maxillary, ethmoid, frontal and sphenoid. These four sinuses are located in the center of our faces. This is the reason why people experience headache if they have sinusitis because basically it is located in the face.

The headache will be getting worse if you will be continuously exposed to irritants such as perfumes, allergen and smoking. So how does sinus headache happen?

Once your sinus is inflamed, your breathing is not the only one being affected but the normal draining passage is being blocked as well. The trapped drainage is creating a pressure which in turn causes the headache.

The sinus headache is frequently mistaken from migraine. According to some studies, 90% of those who were diagnosed with sinus headache have migraines in the first place. A sinus headache may exacerbate if pressure is applied on the nasal or the sinuses.

To begin with, the cause of headache is quite difficult to identify since there are numerous causative agents. What are the symptoms of sinusitis except from headache? It is important for us to know these things in order for us to clearly identify the type of headache we;re experiencing.

An individual who is experiencing sinusitis is complaining of pressure around the eyes area which radiates to the cheeks and forehead. He or she is also experiencing nasal stuffiness, swelling of the face and fever with chills. A nasal discharge of color yellow or green may also be present.

Remember that these symptoms are also similar with other diseases such as those who have an upper respiratory tract infection. The best way to diagnose sinusitis is to perform an endoscopy wherein the doctor will look inside your nose using the endoscope device.

Sinusitis is often caused by bacteria such as the streptococcus aureus, haemophilus influenzae and the moraxella catarrhalis. It is important for sinusitis to be treated as soon as possible to prevent further infection. The treatment of choice for this is the antibiotics.

For those having difficulty in breathing, a decongestant or vaporizers can be used to thin the mucus and aid in breathing. Just put in my mind that not all people who have sinusitis can use the decongestant. Those people who have a problem with their hearts are contraindicated to use it.

The reason behind it is because it has an adrenaline power which will increase your pulse rate and blood pressure which in turn will put you in great risk. If the decongestant is still not effective, a steroidal nasal spray may be used. Steroids are known for their anti-inflammatory action.

If you are experiencing sinus headaches, these are some simple home remedies to relieve yourself from the pain.

1. Dip your towel in cold water and apply it on your forehead. Dip it again if the towel gets warm. This is to relieve the pain in your head.

2. Take a rest. Rest helps restore the bodys functioning which will make you feel better and relieved of headache.

3. Eating spicy foods such as jalapeno will help you drain the trapped mucus on your sinuses. This is the reason why we always have a nasal discharge whenever we’re eating foods rich in spice.

4. You can also use Chinese herbals like the Magnolia Flower. This aid in widening the sinus passage will helps in draining the mucous.

The therapy of sinusitis depends on the severity of the case. This is why it is important to consult your physician as soon as possible once you’re experiencing these symptoms. The treatment may require from several weeks to several months. Doctors may also offer you medications for the relief of symptoms and if the case is cannot be treated with oral medications anymore; the patient may require undergoing surgical procedures to drain the trapped abscess.

Picture Perfect Posture

Posted by Hehnis in Alternative Medicine

Picture perfect posture is something we all strive for, but it doesn’t exist. The reality today is that most people’s posture falls far short of the ideal. Poor posture is not only unflattering - it’s a little known health risk. Worse yet, the adverse effects of postural misalignment tend to slowly and silently accumulate over time until substantial pain and even disability occur.

Hunching over your desk to do computer work all day might not seem problematic, until the damage is done and you realize you can no longer straighten up! By adulthood, most of us have already fallen into some poor postural habits (of which we may or may not be aware). You can check for some asymmetries in your body by looking in a mirror.

As early as age 8, there is evidence of widespread postural changes associated with dominant hand use. A typical pattern for a right handed individual is as follows: right shoulder is lower than the left, Pelvis is deviated slightly toward the right, right hip is slightly higher, slight deviation of the spine to the left, and the left foot is more flat than the right. Some deviations may be only detectable by the trained eye of a professional such as a chiropractor, doctor, or physical therapist, while others may be quite obvious. Many of these postural deviations are thought to have developed because our society has become quite sedentary. (Can you say, “Couch Potato”?) Even young children are exhibiting signs of postural stress related for sitting for long periods of time in school or while playing computer games. It used to be unheard of for a child to complain of neck and back pain not related to trauma. A poor sitting position causes the entire back and pelvis to round out, as well as the head to come forward in a typical “slump” position.

The human body can be visualized as a kinetic chain. Our joints are linked together in such a way that the position of one joint affects the position of all the others. In other words, segments of the body cannot move in isolation. They are all interconnected. When our major joints are stacked appropriately, the human body can be maintained upright with little muscular effort, little stress to ligaments, and equally distributed compressive forces. However, when posture is less than optimal, imbalances cause increased stress to the muscles, bones and connective tissue which effects the whole kinetic chain.

Our modern day society seems to encourage faulty alignment through the repetitive and restrictive nature of certain work related and everyday activities. People who perform the same activity over and over again in the same position are overusing some muscles and underutilized others. Our bodies easily adapt to the demands we place on them. The dominant hand or leg may become very strong, while the non-dominant side weakens, creating widespread strength and flexibility imbalances. Other muscles attempt to compensate until they too become compromised.

Potential sources of pain include muscle spasms and fatigue, ligament strain, pinching of nerves and blood vessels, joint inflammation and arthritis. Individuals may seek medical attention as a result of the chronic pain, functional limitations and disability associated with postural dysfunction. It is unfortunate that we only tend to recognize that we have a problem when our body’s are “screaming” at us. Many postural issues go on ignored until the person experiences a traumatic event. The application of an acute stress, in addition to the chronic postural stress, can result in an injury that might otherwise have been very minor. For example, the victim of a rear-end auto collision at only 5 miles per hour is diagnosed with whiplash due to poor alignment of his/her head to their neck which predisposed them to substantial injury.

Neck pain is highly correlated with poor posture and a forward head position (FHP) is often implicated. Ideally, the ear should be vertically in line with the shoulder. The development of FHP is attributed to occupational or repetitive postures requiring prolonged sitting, forward leaning, habitual slouching and as a result poor vision. The best example of this is working in front of your computer. The extensor muscles in the back of the neck must contract excessively to hold the head up and keep the eyes level. The muscles in the front of the neck become overly stretched and weakened. FHP is frequently associated with Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disfunction, headaches, pinched nerves, and arthritis in the neck. The position of the head also affects the orientation of the shoulder, arm and hand. FHP may also be implicated in carpal tunnel syndrome in the wrist.

Accompanying the adverse musculoskeletal changes is the loss of position sense. Over time, and individual with FHP loses the ability to position the head correctly on the cervical spine. Eventually poor posture progressively begins to feel like the body’s norm.

The good news is that correction of postural alignment has been shown to relieve pain and restore function, such as range of motion and strength. Through specific exercises, the joints and muscles can be retrained. You can improve your posture through simple stretching exercises or reorganizing your workspace. Taking frequent breaks can also help (at least 5 minutes every hour). Also, standing while you work when possible. Finally, remember those words from your mother… stop slouching and sit up straight in your chair! Now is the time to do it.

Food Poisoning - Result Of Food Contamination

Food poisoning is caused by eating organisms or toxins present in food or drinks. Staphylococcus or E. coli is one of the commonest bacteria which results in food poisoning. Due to improper handling, this kind of a contamination happens. Even though it is a very common condition it can get worse depending on the degree of contamination. Some common foods which can cause food poisoning if proper care is not taken are raw poultry, unpasteurized milk, red meat, poisonous mushrooms, pesticides on fruits and vegetables, egg and raw egg products, raw meat and water.

The symptoms are so mild that we hardly register it in our minds. The symptoms develop within one hour or it may show up within 12-48 hours. It lasts for more than two days but, depending on its seriousness it may take around a week to recover.
You may have bouts of vomiting, abdominal cramps and pain, diarrhea and similar other pains. If it is very serious you may have chills and fever, bloody stools, dehydration, muscle aches and weakness. In rare cases it may lead to brain damage causing paralysis or death.

Pesticide, chemicals, heavy metals, parasites, fungi, viruses and bacteria are some of the common causes for food poisoning. Bacteria are a major culprit, due to their capacity to multiply. To prevent the contamination we should have a clean kitchen including the storage and vessels, handle raw and cooked food with proper precautions, cook food to the maximum temperature to avoid presence of bacteria and heat canned foods before tasting. You can stop this outbreak either by minimizing the headcount of bacteria, preventing their growth, killing bacteria with proper measures of cooking.

Home Remedies for Food Poisoning

Avoid eating when suffering with food poisoning

Drink good amount of fluids except milk products, caffeine and carbonated products

Avoid sugary fluids and drink more of electrolyte

Eat plain bread, as it soaks the poison to provide relief

Have 1/4 cup of activated charcoal powder with a glass of water to subside the symptoms. If it doesn’t work within the first half-hour continue till you get complete relief.
