If you are curious about preventing oral herpes cold sores with food, you are right on track. Fact is, food can be a powerful ally (or enemy) in the struggle with cold sores.

CAUSE OF ALL COLD SORES, FEVER BLISTERS AND ORAL HERPES.

Cold sores are the visible damage caused by the reproduction of herpes simplex virus. It is a very destructive parasite virus.

The herpes simplex virus is normally dormant in the root nerve cells of your facial nerves. This virus will become active for the sole purpose of reproduction.

Herpes virus, when active, will move to the surface and invade the nerve cells there. Since it cannot reproduce itself, it forces the victim cell to create virus clones. Once the cell is full (or exhausted) the controlling virus executes it and it bursts open to release hoards of new virus.

A lot of cells destroyed in such a manner create the cold sore ulcer you see and feel. Usually now all the damage is done and the healing part begins.

ARGININE FEEDS THE COLD SORE VIRUS - LYSINE STARVES IT.

The main protein in the herpes virus is arginine - a common amino acid found in most foods. Without proper quantities of arginine your nerve cells cannot create new virus, thus avoiding another cold sore.

Your cells store arginine in a specific area within the cell because it is an important protein for many different functions.

Lysine is another very common amino acid that closely resembles arginine. The big difference here is that your cells cannot create herpes virus by using lysine protein.

Lysine is stored within the cell in the same area as arginine. The more lysine you store, the less room for arginine and the less likely a cold sore will appear.

If the herpes simplex virus senses an arginine shortage, it will give up and return to the dormant state.

FOOD ITEMS THAT HELP PREVENT COLD SORES

Most common foods contain both lysine and arginine. For cold sore prevention, you want food choices that have a high lysine to arginine content. The ideal ratio is 2 to 1. You should strive for this ratio from your entire daily diet.

Balance is the way to success. Don’t give up the foods you love, just compensate with additional high lysine foods.

Most meat is high in lysine and lower in arginine. This is especially true for fish, chicken and beef. Eggs are an excellent choice too. Dairy products are rich in lysine including cheese and yogurt.

Good Wisconsin cheddar is excellent for lysine, as is ricotta cheese. Flounder is a fish that is extremely high in lysine - giving you about 14,000 milligrams of lysine per pound (450 grams) serving.

SOME FOOD PRODUCTS THAT CAUSE COLD SORES

If you suffer from frequent or long-lasting cold sores, here are a few food items that you may want to watch closely in your diet as they have higher arginine content.

High arginine foods include nuts, both grown in trees as well as on the ground. Grains such as wheat and oats are higher than normal in arginine. Sunflower and sesame seeds are healthy but high in arginine.

Most vegetables are higher in arginine, but not by a great amount. Watch out for carrots, eggplant, cabbage family foods and beans (dried). Chocolate is very high in arginine.

Doing without these very healthy foods for any length of time is not a good idea. Rather than do so, try adding additional high lysine food to your diet. Fish, eggs and dairy are great choices for this.

LYSINE SUPPLEMENTS - THE PERFECT CHOICE FOR COLD SORE PREVENTION.

Changing your diet is not easy or fun. But if you get a lot of cold sores - or they last longer than normal - you do need to flood your system with lysine.

The best way to do this for most people is by taking lysine supplements. They are cheap, convenient and very easy to find. Start taking them at the first sign of a cold sore and continue until final healing is complete.

Look for lysine in 500-milligram capsules. As an oral herpes cold sore treatment, six to eight capsules per day with meals is a common regimen. Some people take a capsule or two a day as a preventative measure.

Plan Your Day And Stop Making Excuses

If you are like most people, you probably have a hard time fitting a workout into your daily schedule.

We all have our own priorities, but fact is, no matter how busy you are, you should still be able to add a workout into your daily routine.

Let me show you a few examples on how you can arrange your day so you will get at least a 10-15 min workout, every day!

What do you think of that?

1. Be prepared

First off, you need be prepared. And in order to be prepared, you need to plan your day. The evening before is where it all begins.

Start by taking out your clothes and put them on a chair next to your bed. After that, pack your brief case and then deal with other important tasks you feel you need to have control over for the upcoming day.

2. Write a list

Another thing you need to do is to write a list on what things you are going to accomplish the following day. This is a great tip that are being used by successful businessmen all over the world, and if it works for them, why would it not work for you?

3. Grooming

Another good tip is to shave the evening before, since this well save you a lot of time, and probably cuts and rashes, which you often get when you shave in a hurry.

4. Get up earlier

Yeah, I know, it is a pain in the ass to have to get up earlier. But honestly, it will do you a lot of good, I promise. Set the clock to 40 min earlier than usual.

5. The next 40 min.

Min 1-5: Go straight to the kitchen and get half a protein shake in your system.

Min 5-14: Go over your notes and preparations from the night before. Make sure everything is in place and that nothing is missing. Take out the breakfast and put it on the counter.

Min 14-29: Perform a fast and effective circuit workout in the comfort of your own home.

Min 30-39: Take a hot shower and relax for a few minutes.

Min 40: Get dressed and then hit the kitchen for a world-champion breakfast.

6. Why morning workouts works best for you

- When you have done your morning workout, you are then done for the day. No more concerns or worries on how to fit a workout into your schedule.

- When you get home from work you can spend some extra quality time with your family, you can watch your favorite TV-shows, etc. The possibilities are endless!

- Research is showing that short and intense circuit workouts release a good amount of endorphins, which is a hormone that, for instance, controls your mood.

So when you release endorphins, you will be in a better mood. By doing morning workouts - you will without a doubt be in a good mood throughout the rest of the day!

- According to several studies, physical activity actually increases productivity. Quite the opposite to what most people believe, a morning workout will not get you tired and unfocused - it will get you a lot more focused and productive!

So before you find another excuse to why you were not able to perform a workout today, ask yourself if it really is the time that is the problem, or if it is something else?

4)Remember to drink plenty of water. Water helps cleanse our body. It aids in detoxification and avoids dehydration. Drinking plenty water will also help you feel full so you would not be tempted to grab big snacks in between meals.

5)The holiday season is the season for desserts! And lots of it, all kinds of sweets and pastries just right in front of you. To avoid gaining too much weight this holiday season, try skipping every once in awhile. Don’t store too much of those rich desserts, go for healthier options such as fruit or desserts that offer low calorie intake. It wouldn’t be that hard to do if you plan and organize well.

Overall, the effects of this technique have proven to be very useful, and there is some evidence that the technique improves in efficacy as the patient gets better at using their imagination to “create” a different state of mind.

Both of these techniques represent excellent panic attack advice. They require little in the way of external support, and do not rely on medications in order to bring the panic attacks under control.
