Make Money By Working At Home

Posted by Konradbraun in E-Business

Working at home is something almost everyone is either doing or has tried, simply because its one of the easiest things to do or try now a days. And you can make extra income or even residual income by doing this. There are people that work at companies, that can now work from home and still be with their kids. There’s also people that work for themselves with their own businesses, own products, own prices, own rules. And then there’s other people that are doing MLM or network marketing sites. And in some instances their are people doing a multitude of different things at home to make money. I’m one of those people. I don’t have just one thing I do, or one service. I do multiple things, I think that’s the best way to go, if you aren’t working for a company or don’t work for yourself with your own business.

I only say this because if you work at home and don’t have a safety net you could in fact get messed up. I don’t say it because you cant make good money from one job. Its possible, people do it everyday. But I prefer to have a few safety nets in case one of my ropes break, which has happened in the past. If you are going to work at home, either find something that will assure you that safety net, or do a few things at once. Here are just few things you can do to make money while working at home.

Become a call center agent
Sell & buy domains
Search Portals
Freelancing
Sell products of your own
Affiliate Marketing - Sell products of someone else’s
Provide web services - Web design, web development, web hosting, graphic design, banner design, SEO, SEM
Write blogs
Write articles
Write e-books
Niche Sites
MLM
Network marketing

These are just some Ive tried, but there’s a lot more than this! Sometimes, some of these “jobs” are more time consuming than others. Some of them are a one time thing. It depend on who wants to buy the service really. Take article writing for example, sometimes someone might want just a few articles from you in bulk, and then your job is done. Other times you might be lucky and find ongoing work from someone that wants a few dozen articles per week. Becoming an Agent, doing search portals, or providing web services however may be a full time job for you to do. Some of these jobs involve a one step process, others involve multiple processes.

Do whats best for you and whats in your best interest. But also try to be flexible. Ive always found selling things to not be my forte. But if your a good salesperson, go for it. Do the affiliate marketing. You CAN make money from this if you know what your doing and you pick the right niche to sell. I’m a writer, and Ive learned in the process or writing articles for people that I can write about almost anything. Its because I have knowledge about a lot of things, but its also because I can research things and come up with really good content. Focus at what your good at and put all your energy into it!

The History And Popularity Of Ebooks

Posted by Robertoms2003 in E-Books

The ebook or electronic book is also named e-book or eco-book. It is the digital equal to the traditional printed book. The contents are read on personal computers or by the use of hardware devices called ebook readers.

The first thinking was triggered off by Michael Hart in the 1970`s. He reasoned that the greatest value of a computer should be not merely computing but also storing material, retrieving it and searching for knowledge kept in libraries. The birth of the ebook era started with the copy of Declaration of Independence. From these humble beginnings kicked off Project Gutenberg. Today there are 20,000 free texts and more than 100,000 books available. Each month 3,000,000 ebooks are downloaded - undoubtedly impressive figures in the history of ebooks. When it made its debut in the web the material was easily shared and stored. Quickly the idea picked up and large scale dissemination began to take place.

At first ebooks covered special areas and were meant to be documents to be shared by those in the field. The subject varied from technical manuals to manufacturing techniques. Soon stuff appeared meant only for adults. The market was thus fractured and led rise to ideas of making it more universal and reachable.

Many formats of ebooks appeared and spread supported by branded software. But the market became more fragmented with multiple readers using multiple formats. Ebook failed to become a mainstream product. A dual movement developed. There were ebook publishers who distributed old and rare books while new writers and publishers struck out on their own offering online books creating new readers and clients. Catalogues became available on the net and the message of ebooks began to spread to the public.

Soon it was romance stories that captured the popularity zone. It sometimes meant `guilty pleasure` for the general public. Such types of works could be easily located and bought online from the confines and privacy of one`s own home. It was also easy to read such stuff without others knowing about the guilty tastes. The world did not quite know about the success of such `romantic books`.

But human civilization has a tendency to separate the grain from the chaff and soon big strides began to be taken in the diffusion of knowledge through ebooks. It has led to the spawning of new publishing houses and manufacturers of electronics. More ebook hardware readers are being released in the market that will be easy for the public pockets and convenience. They will apply for portable computers, smart-phones and even game consoles.

Slowly the public are seeing people reading ebooks on laptops or on portable hand-held computers in eateries and coffee parlours. On the mobile phone one can read them in installments by downloading the same. In Japan the sales have jumped astronomically. Now one can find the type of books one wants - the choice of ebooks is widening. Daring new authors are entering the hallowed zone of books and reading.

Those aiming to publish ebooks have many options as regards file format. There are heated debates about which format is the best. For works like dictionaries, references and the like ebooks are ideal for easy searches and cross references can be made. On an average 500 ebooks can be stored in one CD. They never run out of print and authors can continue to earn royalties. Some of them can be read not only in dim light but also in total darkness because of some internal device. The ebook is easy to hold and does not require use of both hands. Reproduction costs are negligible.

What Else Do You Know About Blade Servers

Posted by Rodrigo_rehn in Web Hosting

Gone are the days of bulky rack mounted servers were. With the advancement of technology, blade servers are fast becoming the order of the day.

Blade servers are self contained computer server designed specially for high density jobs. Unlike a typical rack mounted computer a blade server does not require power chord or network cable. But it can still carry out the various functionalities of a standard rack mounted server with ease.

The blade system comprises of the blade enclosure which has the capability to hold multiple blade servers. The blade enclosure also carries out important functions like power coolings, networking, interconnects as well as management.

Power supply is one of the functionalities provided by blade enclosures. It is the single power source for all blades within the enclosure.

Certain amount of heat is produced during the course of any operation. The blade enclosure removes the heat6 formed by fans thus cooling the server.

Networking is another important function of blade enclosure. It provides with one or more network buses to which the blades will connect. It either present the ports presenting them in individual location or assembling them in fewer ports thus reducing the cost of connecting individually.

The blade servers are lower-end servers, fitted into a single chassis. The number of blades that the chassis can hold varies from 8 to 24.One of the most salient features the blade server is that each blades an independent system with its own memory, processor and network connection.

The prime factors that have led to the vast popularity of the blade servers are its cost effectiveness and much less consumption of heat, electricity.Another feature of the blade server which has acted as catalyst behind its popularity is its size.

More than 250 blade servers can be easily accommodated in a single rack. On the other hand approximately 42 servers can be accommodated to a standard rack when it comes to the other lower end servers available in the market.

Besides being used as a web server a blade server can provide other functionalities too. It can perform as SSL servers for encrypted communications, or as streaming servers for audio and video transmissions.

Moreover blade servers are also being used as Firewall devices in corporate data centers.
Blade servers have also proved to be useful in specific purpose like- cluster computing. They have also ached out a prominent position in the fields of web hostins.

In the backdrop of soaring energy costs, the economy that it provides in terms of heat consumption are turning out to be extremely handy for the data centers. The fact that it occupies minimal space has also contributed hugely in this field.

A blade server is easy to install. Also, the presence of dedicated software result in better administration, performance and accountability among users. However the blade servers have its own limitations. Ian case of a large scale problem it may not prove to be very useful.Inthese cases server farms are safer options.

Also, its high power density can lead to acute problems which can affect large sever farms. But in spite of these minor pitfalls, the growing popularity of blade servers show that it is here to stay.

Bring The World Into Your Living Room With Teleseminars

Posted by DianeCorriette in E-Business

Teleseminar, it certainly sounds like a scary high tech next generation marketing tool, but in fact it is quite simple really. A Teleseminar is also referred to as a teleconference and it is a way to bring the world into your own living room.

You may have already taken part in a teleseminar without even knowing it. I remember sometime back n the 70s an old uncle called from abroad, our family were so excited each of us picked up one of the home telephone extensions and started chatting all at once as he told us the fun he was having living on this tropical island. Well, that was a Teleseminar.

Well it was a teleconference 70s style anyway! It was a conversation that took place with one person leading it and everyone else listening, asking questions and taking part in the discussion.

Later in the late 80s 3 way calling was introduced by the major telephone carriers. Basically I could call a friend, who would call another friend and we could all hook up together talking about that other friend who wasnt there at the time. From memory I believe these were called party lines. Large successful corporations and worldwide business social networks have already been enjoying ‘party lines’ as a means of conducting important business communication long before it became a social novelty. Yet still the basic technology was only young. Certainly this is a whole new millennium and technology has advanced in leaps and bounds.

One thing has not changed however; this is how easy it is to conduct or participate in a teleseminar. These examples here may be a little primitive given the quality and the benefits a teleseminar offers us but it is simply that easy.

Today we have access to a teleseminar, or teleconferencing so that we may attend seminars, lectures or to even participate in study courses. Many study courses offered today with the help of a teleseminar would have been absolutely impossible not so long ago. Certainly without an unlimited budget and no consideration to time restrictions we could not possibly take the opportunity to be personally trained by an expert in a subject of our interests from the other side of the world.

Perhaps if our favorite expert was to write a book, we might get to read it one day, but this does not even come close to bringing the same quality of results we receive from direct communication. A teleseminar allows us to ask questions and get answers in real time, and even develop real teacher/participant relationships.

There are many benefits in participating in a teleseminar that certainly cannot be duplicated by any means except having to personally attend classes, or physical seminars.

Teleseminars do not have to be learning based either. A great way to meet people internationally is to participate in a teleseminar. People from around the globe all phone the same telephone number at the same time and enjoy each others company. This is social networking without leaving home!

The rapport we build with others who may also attend the seminar of our interest greatly enriches our learning experience and enjoyment of our interest. Brainstorming or the sharing of ideas creates an environment that heightens our understanding and creativity, this is truly irreplaceable.

Too many of us have not pursued our interests due to the usual commitments of our lives. For some of us that means we have a family to tend to or employment commitments or both. Others may not have had the opportunity to take part in a course or program of our interest due to some ill health or even challenged physical ability.

Given that we dont all live in or near a city, folk from the country have been missing out on meeting people, attending lectures, seminars or study courses due to time and distance restraints. Clearly the availability of teleseminars has broken the chains that have kept us from enjoying everything that we should.

With the simplicity of a teleseminar and the benefits a teleseminar offers us in perhaps furthering our education or enriching our personal interests and even the opportunity of broadening our social network teleseminars or teleconferencing is certainly a welcome advancement in our lives.

Enjoy free teleseminars at our seminar blog http://www.seminarblog.info . Discover how to use teleseminars as podcast on your blog to make money online http://www.blogpodcast.net

Ecommerce Solutions And Benefits Explained

Posted by Jkorionoff in E-Business

Electronic commerce has gained new momentum in the 21st century and continues to gain security and accessibility. Secured servers keep transactions on an ecommerce website safe. Payment gateways offer webmasters the utmost convenience. Financial transaction companies offer webmasters invaluable tools that provide ecommerce solutions.

The most important step a company can take towards successful ecommerce is to develop a good website design. Your web design should be search engine friendly. Your focus should revolve around creating the best experience possible for your visitor. This is accomplished through attention to accessibility needs.

More and more Americans have the option of broadband and high-speed Internet connections as new access technologies emerge. This does not mean webmasters are free to use large graphics or extensive streaming media in their web design. The numbers state that over 40 million people just in the United States are still limited to dial-up Internet access.

Your website will draw in traffic from around the world and should welcome visitors of all connection speeds. Companies that want a media-intensive website can create two well-designed areas for both types of traffic.

Each of your web pages requires a fair amount of concentration. Each product should have a web page of its own. Product information can be displayed together as in a catalog or in a text list. Webmasters who utilize the catalog presentation often link each photograph and brief summary to a full web page that details the product’s features.

Products should be organized by category and purpose. Clear and forthright organization eliminates concerns over disappointed clients who can’t find what they’re looking for. A link to a carefully structured site map on each page ensures direction and clarity no matter what information your customers try to find.

The preparation doesn’t stop when you find a great website design. When your virtual store is complete, webmasters look into technical aspects of ecommerce. The most pressing matter is how to accept payments through your site. Many companies utilize the service of various merchant institutions online. These are more convenient and trustworthy, as they are through reputable banks or other financial facilities. Your company website gains a direct affiliation with legitimate and secure corporations. Customers know their sensitive information is handled only by a prestigious company. Available ecommerce solutions include outsourcing your financial transaction duties. Most ecommerce companies offer a number of merchant tools like shopping carts and instant payment handling for your website.

A “payment gateway” is required for your company to accept credit cards and echecks as an independent party. Merchant services are common on the Internet. Research into these companies provides information on fees and common practices. If you plan on handling ecommerce needs as an independent company, you need to secure certain areas of your site for ecommerce transactions. This is done through an item called an SSL certificate.

A secured socket layer, or SSL, provides the optimum privacy and security for online transactions involving sensitive information. This layer of encryption is comprised of two elements. The public component encrypts the submitter’s information, while the private component deciphers it. SSLs function like an identification card and are handled via the Certificate Authority. Sending standard information online is akin to using a see-through envelope. It is easy for someone to ascertain that information and view it. A SSL places sensitive information in a figurative safe where it can’t be viewed or accessed by any third party.

You can look into website promotion once you have secured your site and are prepared to manage payments. If your company is already established, you can simply add the URL onto existing company materials. Website promotion is easier than promoting a physical location. The public can visit your online store from the comfort of home. You can offer a company history or client testimonials to prove your company is a reliable and secure company.

Website promotion is cheaper than publicity in newspapers and magazines. You can advertise your website through ezines and on popular websites. Advertising online is most often handled through “per impression,” or “per click” methodology. These give your advertising a better chance of being noticed as opposed to paper advertising. You are only charged with each method as your ad is viewed.

Ecommerce is always evolving to suit customers’ needs. This changing atmosphere gives webmasters and website owners the advantage. More consumers are moving to the Internet for their shopping needs. This eliminates the need for costly offices and store locations. With your company website online you can have clients from around the world at a much lower price than advertising in your local area.
