Using Social Networking To Make Money Online

Posted by Melovemoney in Internet Marketing

Today, social network websites are sprouting like mushrooms. There are over hundreds of them — some huge, some small. The reason for this, however, is more than just establishing connections with friends and acquaintances. A social network can also now be a great source of income for someone.

Whenever you are in a social network site, ensure that you can use it to your fullest advantage. Here are some tips on how to use it:

1. Join social network websites with a lot of members. Myspace, Friendster, Bebo, and Hi-five are just few of the many social network websites with thousands or millions of members from all over the world. Thus, it becomes a lot easier for you to build your contacts.

2. Come up with an engaging profile. Once you have already chosen your social network site, you can start creating your profile. Now you do not need to be somebody else just to attract the attention of other users. The most important thing is that you have a well-designed layout and a readable profile.

3. Add a link to your website or blog. This is one of the most essential components when you are designing your social network site page. This is how you can actually drive traffic to your website and increase your sales conversion rate. Majority of the social network websites give you the freedom to do so.

4. Participate in groups. There are also some groups that can be created in social network websites, and you can make use of it to promote your business. You can start a thread where you can add an article you have written and perhaps a link to your website. You can answer questions of other members. You can even advertise your business, as long as you do not make it so obvious. In other words, you can establish your credibility and authority in social network groups.

5. Write a blog. A lot of social network site users are actually nosy. They would love to hear new and exciting stories about you. You can do that by creating your own blog. You can dedicate it solely for your business, or you can add some personal notes. Make sure, though, that you can produce well-written and definitely interesting ones. You do not want to bore your readers.

6. Sell products and services. If you think that you have already established yourself well in your social network site, then it is highly possible for you to start selling your products and services. The truth is these users, though they are very careful of sellers, would basically patronize you if they can see and feel that you can be trusted. But then again, it boils down to good relationships, so you may want to strengthen that first before you do this. Good examples would be sending out greetings on special days, or dropping by their page and leaving a good comment.

Social network websites will be around for years — in other words, they keep growing. To already secure your own spot in them, join now and start earning.

Mastering The Art Of PPC Advertising Without Breaking The Bank

Posted by Awebpro in Affiliate Programs

It’s no secret that the people who cut the biggest cheques in this world are the people who are willing to write smaller ones to get there.

If you’re reading this, you already know that affiliate marketing is a tough game for anyone involved, but particularly for the type of person that wants to dip in and out of new markets and spread their assets across many different niches (always a good idea).

So unless you’ve already got a well trafficked website and/or a huge list that is highly focused and relevant to the products you’re aiming to promote, you’ve got a choice:

1. Start working hard at building sites, hunting backlinks, writing a serious amount of articles, content and blogs…

…eventually your efforts will pay off. But don’t expect money (or indeed traffic) to come knocking for the best part of the next 12 months…not consistently or in large volumes at least.

2. PPC traffic. Bam.

Remember the cutting small cheques to win bigger ones philosophy? Well, PPC is the broker and boy has it got some big affiliate cheques waiting with your name on it.

In a world full of potential markets to dip into and make money, the first option is simple not viable for the hungry netreprenuer. There’s too much work and time required, unless you outsource all of the work (which can often be a huge energy hog and often ends up in tears anyway).

However, people may argue that PPC is also a huge time and energy hog, and PPC can also leave you ended up in tears, particularly after the major PPC search engines such as Google are becoming so competitive and particularly about the campaigns you set up and run.

But in order to get instant traffic and make money from literally every corner of the internet, PPC is still the ultimate way to tap into hungry buyers overnight (plus you don’t have to worry about your traffic levels suddenly dropping like you do with free traffic).

So the real key is to beat the system, and make PPC easy to operate, without losing money and spending lots of time in the process.

In order to do so, you’ll need to address the following key aspects to making your PPC campaign a success…

1. Testing is key

If you don’t test which keywords are bringing you money, and you don’t test which way of presenting your offers (via your webpage/landing page etc) then you’ll always be throwing money away. Once you know what is working, you can dump the duds and literally save yourself thousands in wasted clicks.

Then, reinvest that saved money into more clicks, or even use it to outsource some of your “nitty-gritty” work that you don’t want to do yourself anymore.

2. Target desperate keywords

It’s far easier to target people who are in a desperate mental state than it is to target “tire kickers” who are just snooping around, with no credit card in hand.

3. Watch your budget, but don’t limit it

Of course, the safest way to save yourself wasted PPC cash is to keep a close eye on your campaigns. However, the common mistake here is to cap your daily PPC budget.

By doing this, you’re essentially telling Google not to show your ads too often. This will save you money, but will also limit your exposure and will take you longer to find out of your campaign is going in the right direction. It’s far better to stop the campaign manually when things start getting expensive (providing you’re not in profit that is!)

3 Tips For Using Product Recommendations To Increase Your Affiliate Income

Posted by Arvada in Affiliate Programs

In affiliate marketing, there are lots of ways to increase your earnings and one of the most important ways to increase your affiliate marketing bottom line is through the use of product recommendations.

After all, if customers trust you and you’ve built rapport with them, then they will also trust your recommendations.

So what’s an affiliate to do?

1. Don’t Over-Recommend

Many affiliate marketers make this mistake, especially when they are first starting out with affiliate marketing. They over-recommend affiliate products. In other words, they recommend too many products to their customers, subscribers, and website visitors. If you do this, you’ll lose your credibility faster than you can say “affiliate marketing.”

My advice is to be very sparing with your product recommendations in order to maximize your affiliate profits. Don’t choose one product this week, then tell your visitors about another competing product next week. Choose a couple of product within your niche and continually recommend the same ones to your target audience. Doing this demonstrates to your audience that you truly believe in the merit of those products and improves your credibility.

2. Recommend Honestly

This one kind of goes along with the one above, but it’s worth mentioning separately. Be honest in your recommendations. Sometimes you’ll find an affiliate product that fits perfectly with your niche, but it’s not perfect. You can still recommend the product, as long as you also mention the flaws in the product. Rather than lose any points for you, this will make your recommendation more realistic and will tend to increase your credibility.

This is especially true when you are doing a full blown review of a product.

You’d be surprised how many affiliate sales you’ll make, even when your review is less than positive. People appreciate your honesty.

3. Build Relationships

How well you’ve established your relationship with your target audience is perhaps the most important factor in determining your success as an affiliate. Rapport is everything in online business. In order to build rapport, your audience has to trust you.

How can you build rapport with your target audience?

1. Sound like a leading expert in your field. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase.

2. Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream your recommendations from the roof tops.

3. Back up your claims. Your target audience is not stupid. They are actually turning to experts and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, you’ll be building credibility with your audience and sell a lot more affiliate products.

There’s one other thing to think about on this one. I highly suggest that you actually use a product yourself before you recommend it to your target audience. Nothing speaks more to credibitility and trust than someone who speaks from experience about an affiliate product.

Product recommendations are a great tool for your affiliate marketing campaigns if you’re smart about how you recommend products. Follow these simple tips and you’re sure to increase your affiliate marketing income!

What Is Social Marketing?

Posted by Tkdterry in Link Popularity

Social marketing is a new form of advertising that is just starting to become popular. Often social marketing is a favorite of small businesses because it is virtually free although in order to use it to drive traffic to a website the company still needs to use traditional search engine marketing and search engine optimization techniques. It is build around the idea of link strategies and using personal networking to drive website traffic.

Before the widespread use of social networking sites social marketing really wasn’t a viable option for most mainstream businesses but now the popularity of social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook has made social networking and social marketing very popular. Link strategies that are often used in social marketing involve creating free accounts on these popular social networking sites and then using search engine marketing techniques to increase traffic and network with others who interested in the same topics or with customers. Using search engine optimization to create search engine marketing content on your social networking profile pages can help get your profile listed in search engine results pages and you can use search engine marketing articles to help gain readers and friends across the net.

This type of marketing isn’t just limited to using sites like MySpace and Facebook. You can use search engine marketing and search engine optimization to socially market your blog as well. Many companies these days prefer having blogs to having traditional websites because blogs are much more accessible to people and make people feel like they have a personal connection with the company. Blogging is hugely popular.

Many popular blog sites are free so you can set up a free blog to be the front page of your web page and you can put links throughout the blog that lead to other pages on your web page so that your readers can find your other search engine marketing articles and information or buy your products. The best link strategies for blogs involve taking the time to form alliances with other bloggers. Blogging networks have huge followings and many times if you join a blog network or go to the blogs of people who share your interest or sell complementary products you can leave comments on that person’s blog that link back to your own site.

Even though that type of advertising can be a little time consuming it’s a great way to use search engine marketing to reach your target audience for free. Blogging communities also usually link to one another’s blogs which means that you can use your networking contacts to help you publicize your website. Social marketing can be tricky though because it’s more than just using search engine marketing, link strategies and SEO.

There are a lot of social networking etiquette rules that need to be observed and if you don’t follow protocol you could be ostracized. When you’re using social networking you should never just post links to your website on other people’s blogs, that’s considered spamming. Take the time to read other blogs and leave relevant comments. Usually then you will be allowed to post a link to your own website.

How To Succeed With Pay Per Click

Posted by Melovemoney in Pay Per Click

The overall success of the PPC advertising campaign is not really on your chosen keywords. It is on how you make use of your pay per click — it is all about proper PPC management.

For those who are starting out with their PPC advertising and those people who are still struggling to break a record when it comes to their campaign, you can take note of the following tips on how to make your PPC work:

1. Minimize the number of keywords you are going to use. You can actually exhaust the keyword limit that could be given to you for your PPC advertising, but if you want to make sure that you can really keep track of your ads, limit it. The ideal is 20 or even less than that. This will be enough for you to capture the attention and interest of your target audience as well as monitor which of them are really performing well.

2. Make use of keyword suggestion tools. When you are not sure of the keywords that you are going to use, you can always utilize various keyword suggestion tools, such as Google Adwords and Yahoo Overture. They are excellent in coming up with related keywords. They are also free, so you can definitely use them as many times as you want.

3. Evaluate the performance of your ad. Whether you like it or not, some ads will work while others will not. For those that are performing very well, the best thing that you can do is to improve them further. You may go for more competitive and high-ranking keywords, or you can develop more compelling content. For the ones that do not, you can try to evaluate if they can still be enhanced and make them work out. But if it does not, you actually have to remove them. There is no use in paying for things that do not perform.

4. Use performance reports to your fullest advantage. Google Adwords, for one, can help you generate reports that will tell you the overall performance of your ad. You will be able to identify the behavior of your visitors as well as your conversion rate. You can make use of this report for decision making, especially when it comes to the keywords that you need to use and the budget you need to set aside for your PPC advertising campaign.

5. Read the policies of the PPC management company. There are a lot of careless advertisers out there who basically do not spend some time reading the rules and policies of their PPC management company. In the end, their accounts are closed, or they get penalized. A good example is the Google slap. A number of advertisers charged higher amounts for every click rather than pennies because of the strategy they used called namesqueeze. Do not risk your overall PPC advertising campaign. There is always customer support that you can call or e-mail when you need more information.

If done correctly, your PPC campaign can help tremendously improve the performance of your business.

Using Pay Per Click To Make Money Online

Posted by Melovemoney in Pay Per Click

Can you actually earn something from every click of your ad? Yes, you can, but the success is completely dependent on how you hand your pay per click campaign. So how do you exactly make sure that it can generate profits for your business?

1. Get to know your business well. You will never be able to come up with compelling and high-converting ads if you know little of what you are selling. Besides, determining the ins and outs of your products and services will be your foundation all throughout your campaign. It will help you pick the right keywords, choose your target market, and create a unique selling proposition for them through your PPC ads.

2. Select the most appropriate keywords and phrases for your ads. PPC is generally all about keywords. After all, your ads would not show up in search engines and their other distribution channels unless Internet users will make use of the keywords you have chosen. Now not all best and high-ranking words are the most appropriate for you. If you settle for broad terms, for example, you will be up against huge and thousands of competitors. Definitely, it will take a while — or even never — before your target customers would get to find you. Be as specific and as descriptive as possible.

3. Test your ads. It is actually never enough that you have come up with good ads. After all, there is a huge possibility that it is only you who really gets the message. Make sure that you can test on the landing pages and the keywords that you used. Try as many as you can. This is how you can see which of them are performing really well and which ones need to be removed from your PPC campaign.

4. Monitor the performance of your PPC campaign. A number of people do not succeed in their pay per click marketing efforts because they simply forgot to keep track of the performance of their ads. The volatile online market allows fast changes in trends, especially on consumer behavior. Thus, there are some ads and keywords that would not work anymore in the coming weeks or months, and new ones will be discovered. Keeping track will make you ready for these changes.

5. Analyze the traffic generated by your ads. Depending on the traffic statistics alone will not give you the results that you need when it comes to PPC. The most important thing is that you are able to convert these clicks into profits — you have actually convinced these interested Internet users to purchase products or avail of your services. Know where the high-converting traffic is coming from and concentrate much of your PPC efforts in this area.

It is fundamental for someone who is involved in pay per click campaign to give it 100% of their time and energy. Keep in mind that for every click made, you are going to pay for it. You would rather hope that it is going to be more of an investment for you than an expense, something that will give you great returns for your business in the long run.
