Are You Looking For Some New Social Networking Sites To Join?

Posted by KristiAmbrose in Blogging

For those of us that have gone through the myspace phase and have the whole “been there done that” thought, we want something newer and better! Well you are in luck because every single week new sites are being made up, and whats interesting about the sites Im going to be mentioning is that they are all different in their own rights. One is a chocolate social network, one is a fashion social network and the other one is one similar to myspace but oh so much better! So for those of you that are looking to broaden your horizons or your just sick of the old myspace crowd, these are three really awesome sites to look into!

Xocai Global Network Community -
Yea, this is the real deal baby! For those that don’t know, Xocai is a social networking and network marketing business you can get into for healthy dark chocolate products! The social networking site offers options such as a your profile page, events, forums, gadgets for you XocaiSpace, groups, photos, videos and much more! This isn’t just for people that are in the Xocai network marketing business either, ANYONE can join this site, especially if you are looking into meeting some new people! However I assume this also would be a good place to join if you are interested in the Xocai experience or the network marketing aspect of the company. This website has the perfect slogan; “Bringing Chocolate Lovers Together From All Around The World.” Terrific site!

Up Your Style -
This is one of the newest type of social networking sites, its all about fashion! You can do things like search different styles by your fave bands, write blogs about fashion, music, and culture and even search other members of the site and take a look at their style. Okay so this isn’t really my type of thing, but there are tons upon tons of people out there who belong to this site, so obviously it is popular. Now an electronic site? That’s something I would definitely join!

Twitter -
I think everyone has heard of this social networking site by now; its a service for friends, families and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through one quick questions, what are you doing? So its a little like myspace where you are connected with everyone, but its also very different. Its basically an “update” everyone on your life program. Still pretty cool, I have checked it out but I felt like their was a lot of younger kids on this site. I’m 27 and just didn’t feel like I belonged, at all, but hey, maybe once you join you will feel different! Give it a whirl.

Of course there are more than just these three but the chocolate one is pretty new and pretty awesome so I had to mention it and give them kudos for setting up such a cool network, the fashion one is a little on the different side, but that’s what people like sometimes, change! And lastly I mentioned twitter because its been getting a lot of attention lately on peoples blogs and such, and its a off colors version of myspace for the people that like myspaces feel but still want to try something different out! I hope you join up with one two or hey, all three of these sites, especially the chocolate one (yum). Remember to have fun and be safe, good luck!

3 Ways To Use Blog Commenting As Part Of Your SEO Plan Of Attack

Posted by Rmatuk in Blogging

You are probably already well aware of how you need to create an Internet presence for your website in order for it to be profitable. Because the goals of search engine optimization lie in making your site well-known, well-visited, and income-generating, you need to exhaust as many resources as possible to drive the success of your SEO campaign.

Have you ever considered blog commenting as part of your SEO plan of attack? Unbeknownst to many, the blog world or the blogosphere has become a haven for webmasters and successful SEO strategists. Blogs today have evolved to being mere online journals and daily chronicles, into powerful marketing tools that many are profiting from. As of the year 2007, Technorati and Businessweek reported more than 15.5 million active blogs around the world. With these stats, they also presented that about 1.3 million posts are made on blogs per day.

You can only imagine how commenting on a blog can greatly benefit your SEO campaign. Here are some tips to help you out with your site’s SEO:

1. Before you jump into the blog commenting wagon, you should first choose a blog site and register an account. When you pick a username, make it as relevant to your site as possible. Avoid using vague SEO keywords, and always use English in selecting a username for generality. You may even use the domain name if you wish. Only those with registered accounts on a blog portal can make comments on active blogs.

2. Whenever you land on a blog, read its content, and think about making a comment, always have your SEO in mind.If your site is on a certain niche, such as skin care products for instance, you can search Google for as many skin care blogs as you can. When making a comment on a blog entry, you can place a link for your website so other fellow blog readers can easily link to yours. Even more possible visitors will be driven to your site if the blog you commented on has many RSS subscribers. Every update on that blog informs the RSS subscribers that something interesting will be worth reading.

3. Make your post sensible. Don’t just click on the “post” or “comment” button with something uninteresting and irrelevant typed in the text box. Provide useful insights on the blog you have just read, and add your website link, inviting others who are interested to check it out. There is a code of conduct that all writers of blog comments should follow, and it pays to be in the know so as to avoid spamming and unnecessary posts.

Blog commenting is truly an effective means of link building and site promotion. The more comments you make on related blogs in your niche, the higher the traffic you generate for your site. Try to maintain a regular schedule of blog commenting, and always keep in mind the quality of your posts. Have these blog commenting hints in mind, and you can be link building in no time.

Blogging An Intro To Beginning Blogging

Posted by Ronald111 in Blogging

Have you ever wondered where the word ‘blog’ comes from? It actually originates from the term of ‘web logging’ and has evolved quite a bit over the years. Today, blogging is recognized as a powerful tool in promotion, communication, and expression across the Internet. Blogs are great at drumming up an interest in products and services, as well as allowing contact to pass between visitors and webmasters. In the end, the results can create a trustworthy bond.

The creation of a business blog will help you make money, as well as help you set personal standards that meet your preferences. After a blog is implemented, you may choose to generate money through syndication with RSS feeds, which are connected to your business website. A blog set up for business can surely benefit from the following suggestions on how to increase overall interest and popularity:

1) Audience

To accommodate the audience that will your blog, you must center your writing to a targeted group of people. Always keep their best interest in mind. They will come to your blog because they have searched a particular keyword (or keyword phrase) and found their way to your site. Your best effort to make them happy campers is a must so that they will spend more time on your blog and return in the future. Hopefully, this will also generate a visit to your main website.

2) Too Many Words

Large blocks of text scattered on an online page can become quite boring to read. If you place an image or photo within a passage of writing, then readers stay interested for a longer period of time. When the picture ties into the relevancy of the post, then you have successfully delivered a complete package for web visitors.

3) Relevant Content

When posting to a business blog, the topics must show relevancy to the subject of your blog. Follow the objectives of your niche market by using keywords and keyword phrases that paint the perfect picture. The goal is to attract traffic to the blog by effectively using specific keywords. It is up to you to generate a business blog that builds a unique bond between you and your visitors. This is the best way to sell products and services. If you are constantly writing high-quality posts, a visitor is more likely to return in order to learn more about what you have to offer. In the end, you will have eventually created positive lines of communication and trust.

4) Simplicity

To master the art of satisfying communication, Dont forget to keep things simple. It is suggested to avoid technical mumbo-jumbo unless you truly have to revert to this kind of terminology. As a rule of thumb, keep sentences short and stick to the point.

5) Interactivity

To engage visitors of your blog, make sure to utilize audio and video, which encourage people to leave comments regarding your posts. To get the best results, make sure to have the comment feature turned on and approve all comments before they are published.

Before beginning a blog, it is necessary to do a bit of pre-planning as to how you can create a personalized blog for making money. You should also decide how often you will make posts. Another significant aspect to settle on involves the sources you will use to provide interesting and relevant information to your audience. The better the sources the better the profits you will generate from your blog. Creating a game plan is a must. Overall, you should keep in mind that having no plan will only increase your chances of failure.

How To Monetize Your Blog With Donations

Posted by Jonhook in Blogging

While it’s hardly new, you’ve probably noticed that more and more bloggers are adding donation buttons to their sites and posts. Some are straight forward using PayPal, while others ask you to buy them something. Even Joe Vitale of The Secret fame asks for Amazon gift certificate donations on his blog. Are you taking advantage of this method of earning some much needed money? If you would like to know how to monetize your blog with donations, read on.

Gift Buttons

The ever popular “Buy me a beer” buttons suggest $3 a pint, or $7.50 for a pitcher. What people who donate like about this option is that the amount is small, and they prefer the feeling of buying you something over just handing you money. It’s exactly the same result in both instances, but gives a feeling of gifting.
It doesn’t have to beer either. There are many options and graphics and text for cups of coffee, martinis, gift certificates, etc. Use your search engine and type in what you would most like to receive to find the appropriate payment button. Make sure you do a bit of research. Not all buttons work on all blogs. The “Buy me a beer” button, for instance, only works on Wordpress.

Your Best Criteria for Receiving Donations

If you have a blog that is all fluff and no stuff, you may have a hard time raising funds. There are some attributes that increase your chances of realizing some cash through your donation buttons.

Value.

If your blog offers something helpful to your readers, they are more likely to throw a little money in the pot. It’s a mutual back scratching thing - you give to them, they give to you. If you blog site typically offers free downloads and such, that only increases that feeling of giving back for them.

Little or no other commercial activity on the site. If you plaster ads all over your blog, you lessen your chances of people clicking your donation button. They think you’re already making money off of them, and that your need is not as great as it would appear without the ads.

Tons of readers. It just makes sense that the larger your readership, the more money you’ll make. Only a percentage will give, so the donations will rise in accordance to the higher number of visitors.

A Couple of Suggestions

There are some things that you can do to encourage people to give. If you engage in proactive fundraising, that is make a plea in your blog posting for readers to help you out financially, try enticing them and make sure you don’t bug them.

Offer incentives. You could do it on a ballot basis, giving all benefactors a chance at winning one of x number of prizes. If need be, approach local or online business and ask them to donate. It’s free publicity for them, and a premium for you to use to attract more cash gifts. This just may be give that little extra push to those readers who are sitting on the fence deciding whether or not to click the button.

Keep your fund-raising requests to a minimum. If you repeatedly ask for donations, you’ll pester people. They not only will stop giving, but they’ll start to avoid you and that means your readership will fall, as well.

Knowing how to monetize your blog with donations is not only good for you, but for the people doing the donating. It makes people feel good to help and give if they can. Do yourself and them this favour. Everyone gets rewarded.
