What Should I Tell My Date About Me?

Posted by Nocita in Dating

Good question? When you first start dating it’s important to tell the person you’re dating important information about yourself before you get too deep into the relationship. You say, well isn’t my name, occupation, hobbies, address and telephone number enough? No, not if you’re withholding information from the other person you’re dating. The information you need to tell your date may be important to that person in deciding whether or not they want to remain in a relationship with you. It’s best to let them know about you right from the start! You don’t want this to become a problem for you later on down the line.

If the person you’re dating chooses not to continue dating you, then move on to someone else that will deal with you the way you are in a relationship with them. That way, you’ll both be happier.

So, you want to know what types of things you should let your date know about you, here are some tips and information that may assist you with this:

1) Let your date know that you have children. Most people don’t have a problem with their date having children. You may find in most cases that your date may have kids themselves and may not be sure how to approach this subject as well. So why not tell your date! It’s good to let your date know early on if you have kids. There are some people that don’t want to date someone that has kids. If this is the case with your date, then they’ve found out early from you, that you have kids and you can both move on to someone else. Go ahead, get if off your chest, you’ll feel good that you did!

2) Let your date know if you have a criminal record. Yes, your date should know if you’ve spent time in jail for a crime you’ve committed. You say you’ve done your time, why does my date need to know this information? They need to know because, this may come out in the relationship at a later time when you least expect it, especially if you’re on probation! How would you explain to someone you’re dating that you need to meet with your parole officer after your date just happened to take a phone message from your probation officer while you were busy in your kitchen cooking a romantic dinner for the both of you. Oops! See how awkward that would be for you! Be up front, let your date know about your criminal history if you have one.

3) If you’ve got bad credit let your date know about your credit history. If you’ve been dating for awhile and you’re getting serious about each other, let your date know that your credit isn’t good. This will eliminate surprises for you and your date if you decide that you want a long term relationship. Your date will know that your credit is not so perfect.

4) Tell your date if you’re unable to have children or just don’t want to have any kids. Let your date know about this early on when you start dating! If your date wants children, they will have a choice to exit the relationship with you early on. You will also have the same opportunity, because you would have found out that your date wanted children and you do not.

5) Tell your date about any health problems that you may have that would affect your relationship. It’s important that you reveal to the person you’re dating any health problems you have so they can decide early on if they will be able to handle this as part of your relationship. If they can’t, then move on to someone else who does not have a problem with this. Remember, there’s always other fish in the sea that will accept you for who you are!

6) Anything else you believe is important for your date to know about you before you get too deep into your relationship!

By providing your date with important information about you, this gives them a choice to determine whether or not they’ll continue dating you. More important, you’re being honest in the relationship. In addition, it shows that not only do you respect yourself, you take responsibility by being forthright with respecting others rights to make their own choice about whether or not they want to be with you in a long term relationship!

Planning A Trip On Valentine’s Day

Posted by Kingpin221 in Dating

Whisking your partner away on a surprise, two week long exotic vacation may seem like an extremely romantic idea for a Valentine’s Day gift but it does not always work out that way. In theory a surprise vacation is incredibly romantic but in reality it can often be filled with complications which put a damper on the trip.

However, it is possible to plan a trip for Valentine’s Day and have it turn out to be an absolutely incredible gift which your partner will remember forever. This article will provide some information on how to plan a trip for Valentine’s Day without running into a number of snags.

A trip on Valentine’s Day can be a great gift idea for both you and your partner but it will be most effective if you pay careful attention to the timing of the trip. This is important because work and family obligations can make it extremely difficult for one person to plan even a short getaway without at least some input from their partner.

This is especially important if you are planning a trip which is longer than a weekend. This longer trip will require you and your partner to take time off of work or to make arrangements for someone to take care of their place of residence. However, work is not the only potential complication. Family obligations can also have an impact on the planning. For example if your partner routinely picks up her niece from school and watches her for a couple of hours, she may want to find a replacement for this family obligation.

These types of scheduling conflicts can be avoided by simply making your partner aware of the plans and soliciting feedback on the proposed dates of the trip to make the planning easier. You don’t have to give away the whole surprise by telling your partner where you will be going but letting her know the dates of travel will help to avoid problems which could result if you do not consult her beforehand.

Another thing to consider when planning a trip for Valentine’s Day is whether or not you want to actually be traveling on the holiday itself. This becomes especially important if you are planning a trip to a faraway destination. If this is the case you might want to plan on either leaving before or after Valentine’s Day so you can spend the holiday relaxing together instead of traveling.

Travel can be very stressful and tiring so if you want to avoid problems which may result from this, it is a good idea to plan your trip so you will not be traveling on Valentine’s Day.

Finally, when planning a trip for Valentine’s Day it is very important to make sure you select a location which both you and your partner will really appreciate. There may be a number of activities you enjoy as well as a number of activities your partner enjoys but these activities will not necessarily overlap. However, there are likely to be some activities which you have in common.

It is important to make sure your vacation destination is one which will have plenty of activities for the two of you to enjoy together. For example you may be really looking forward to a golfing vacation but if your partner does not play golf it will result in the two of you spending a great deal of time apart during your vacation. By selecting a vacation where there are activities for the two of you to enjoy together you will be spending a great deal of quality time together on your Valentine’s Day vacation.

7 Winning First Date Secrets For Senior Dating

Posted by Sagalists in Dating

You are 50 and you are still searching for your so called true love. Hate to watch your life pass you by like this… By all means, indulge in senior dating!

It’s been years or decades since your last date? Even if you wanted to return into the dating scene, you’re fearful that you have already lost your dating touch. And wondering how much the dating etiquette has had already progressed? Sit back and relax. Regain your dating prowess as you had in your teens back then. Read on to acquire these winning secrets on how to make senior dating lesser of a pressure and more of a pleasurable activity.

1. Care for a second serving? The decision to get into the scene of dating is the one of the goals in getting into a first date. And how else can you accomplish that but to plan a date that would ensure lots of conversation, right? This is the opportunity for you to get to know each other more. Senior dating is definitely no different from younger dating since the “guidelines” don’t differ that much. On a first date, it will be wise to avoid activities that will just leave you sitting mummed in the dark, i.e., watching a movie or a play. Senior dating does not spare anyone on the stress of groping in the dark if a first date became full of dead air.

2. Bringing out the best from both. It is imperative that you consider activities that you think will be of your same interest. A hobby or a shared value built into your first date will not only minimize the pressure on the two of you but will also draw out the best in you. In senior dating, regardless of how long you’ve forsaken your throne already, you will be given a head start if you do your homework. Whether you ask your date regarding what her interests or hobbies beforehand or research through common friends to surprise her with such activity. If you’re really into it, there’ll be no way of stopping you to make this first date a good one.

3. Wonderful lunch dates. Taking into consideration of senior dating and choosing lunch over dinner for some health reasons is just a loser’s thought. A first date during senior dating, just like teen dating, will be more enjoyable if done during daytime when more activities are available for the both of you to enjoy. It’s just that intimate ambience that a dinner date conjures that makes a first date more of an anxiety-inducing bustle than an easy feat.

4. If going on senior dating just put you in a nerve-wracking jumbled mood, consider the ever trusty group dates with friends. This will not only minimize the pressure of coming up with an in-synch convo but will also be more of an opportunity to see how you two interact with others. A charity auction or playing a sport that you and your group both agree to will do.

5. Rock and roll or take a stroll. No, it’s not about going to rock n’ roll concerts. Dance parties are good first date alternatives if you are not really a lunch-date person. After an exhausting boogie-ing evening, those first date stress will already be relieved by then. Taking a stroll after the dance date will give you more time to get acquainted more of each other.

6. Senior dating doesn’t mean that you have to be pressured to doing everything to the extent of straining yourself just to hit it off. How? Expand your realm of senior dating beyond those common wine tasting or book searching generic first date activities. Markets or malls are excellent for not only giving you time to gauge whether you’re of the same wavelength but may also give you an excuse if you didn’t. This is not about giving you negative vibes regarding your first date on senior dating but to prepare you for the possibilities of a not-so successful one or some kind of a way of getting a glimpse of the worst scenario.

7. Choose: graceful or not. First dates often meant not necessarily be knowing the person that much. If ever something comes up or simply you felt that you’re not comfortable with your date, leave. It’s better to be safe than be sorry.

Don’t just keep on telling yourself that you’ve been there and done that. Just keep an open mind and remember that you’re involving yourself with senior dating to have a good time. The first date is not an exception. Therefore, use these senior dating secrets whenever you can.

10 Online Dating Safety Tips

Posted by Snook2 in Dating

Online dating offers lonesome people an unprecedented opportunity to find that special someone, or just to make some interesting friends. While the world might not be full of “loonies,” there are just enough of them out there to make it a possibly risky adventure. Follow these basic safety tips to minimize the possibility of a dating disaster happening to you.

1. Post recent photos of yourself that really depict how you look. Don’t try to make potential dates think you are something you are not. Honesty will always pay off for those who are sincerely seeking a companion.

2. Don’t plan too big a date for your first meeting. Just get together for a cup of coffee during your lunch break. Leave yourself an out if the date is a disaster.

3. Don’t drink too much when you’re getting acquainted with them. Alcohol is well-known for its ability to make a person lose their better judgment. It can also make someone seem much more interesting and attractive to you than they actually would be on a day-to-day sober basis.

4. Meet in a public place. To be really safe, let someone know about the meeting, and ask them to contact you at a predetermined time to make sure you are safe. Don’t forget to take your cell phone with you, so you can phone for help if you need it.

5. Watch out for would-be dates who seem to want to be all things to you without admitting to any flaws. Some will try to get you to think they are super-adaptable and would fit into any type of situation. Very few people are really like this. Look instead for someone who is not afraid to pin themselves down.

6. Set up a separate email account just for dating correspondence. Make it anonymous, and don’t call yourself by a name that has sexual overtones. Doing so will attract the wrong type of potential dates.

7. Pay attention to your gut feelings. Maybe you can’t put your finger on what exactly is wrong, but if you have reservations about progressing forward with a particular person, back off. Our intuition is often a step ahead of the game, picking up on weird comments or behaviors that our conscious mind might not notice. Trust your instincts.

8. Remember that identity theft is a very real possibility these days. To protect yourself, first, stay anonymous with your potential date until you are sure you can trust them. This means you don’t reveal your phone number or street address prematurely. It also means you don’t leave your purse with them while you go to the ladies’ room.

9. When you’re having those first few real dates, don’t leave your drink unattended. Consider the possibility that they might slip something into it.

10. Don’t let them pick you up in their own vehicle. Instead, drive yourself or get a taxi. Don’t leave with them or go to their home afterward until you’ve had enough dates to know you can trust them. Similarly, don’t take them home with you either.

Hopefully, you’ll be getting together with someone who is trustworthy and enjoyable to be with. Just in case, be sure you follow these safety tips when venturing into the world of online dating.

6 Steps To Eliminate Her Boyfriend And Make Her Want You

Posted by Scottj65 in Dating

One question I get all from my readers goes something like this…

“I like (or have just met) a woman who is great, but has a boyfriend. What can I do to get rid of the boyfriend and make her like me?

Well these guys are pretty frustrated because many great women are already taken.

Maybe you’ve faced the same situation.

If so, read closely because I’m about to reveal my 6 step system for making a woman forget her boyfriend and want to be with you.

But before we move on, let me get one thing straight…

I don’t think messing with an established relationship is a good idea. When you do this, you’re creating a situation where somebody will get hurt.

So even if you’ve found a great girl, trying keeping her as a friend and dating only single women. Ultimately this will make you happier.

Now if you REALLY like a girl and desperately want to be with her, then try this system:

Step 1- Understand your situation

Before you try to neutralize the boyfriend, you must first explore your own relationship with this girl. If you find out you’re in the “friends zone”, then her boyfriend won’t be the obstacle.

In other words, she will not want to date you even if she doesn’t have a boyfriend.

So even if she ditches the boyfriend, she’ll end up dating other guys.

When you’re in “friends zone”, you must first take steps towards making yourself a sexual threat to her. Don’t act like her friend, act like a potential dating partner.

Step 2- Ignore the boyfriend

My first advice about the boyfriend is to ignore him. Don’t bring him up or talk about him. If she only mentions the boyfriend once, then she’s probably not that interested in him.

Don’t let the boyfriend be an obstacle.

Instead continue to work on your attraction and flirting techniques.

Step 3- Never mock her boyfriend

Now if she mentions her boyfriend multiple times, you have to switch tactics.

To make her interested, you have to change her mindset and convince her that you represent everything she’s missing in her life.

But the one thing you should do is never mock or ridicule her boyfriend. By doing this you’ll only make her defend him- which is the last thing you want.

My advice is to be different. If she mentions him, say nice things and talk about how wonderful he sounds.

Which brings us to the next step…

Step 4- Talk about how great he is

Once a woman starts discussing her boyfriend, ask questions about him. Then as the conversation evolves, exaggerate his positive qualities to incredible levels. In fact, talk about him like he is a God.

A great technique I recently discovered is to say something like this to a woman…

“You guys sound SO cute together! I could totally see you two together in 10 years, married with 5 kids and a nice little house in the suburbs”.

When you use this technique, you’re latching on to her fear of losing her independence and sense of adventure. As a result, she’ll start to wonder if she’s never going to have fun again.

Step 5- Tell her you would make a terrible boyfriend

Once you’re on the topic of her boyfriend, tell her how you would be a horrendous boyfriend. Compare yourself with the wonderful aspects of her boyfriend and tell her why you’re different.

With this tactic you want to describe yourself as an adventurous guy who lives a fun life and could never settle down with one woman. You want to make her think you’re a fun person who is always having great times.

Step 6- Talk about your adventures

Once you’ve established yourself as a guy who would be a bad boyfriend, you have to make another transition.

You should tell her that while you’re not boyfriend material, you would at least be a provider of fun times and excitement. Basically you’re setting yourself up as a guy who would make a lousy boyfriend, but will be interesting to be around.

By combining this six step system with fundamental attraction advice, you’ll be perceived as a guy who can provide women with excitement. Since many of them are in relationships out of convenience, she’ll change her mindset and think of you in a sexual manner.

And once a woman sees you in this light, she’ll be attracted towards you and your lifestyle. Then you can slip in there and steal her away from her boyfriend.

They Probably Don’t Like You - Meet Her Friends And Survive!

Posted by Winchester73 in Dating

Wow. You two really click when you’re together. So to her it’s only natural that you finally meet her friends.

“Great, can’t wait”, you tell her as you break into a cold sweat. You check your calendar in the hopes you have a dentist appointment that week. No such luck.

Is it that stressful? It can be. Her friends are very important to her and their opinions have the potential of making or breaking the relationship. For that reason it’s crucial that you make a good impression and gain their trust.

The first step is to introduce yourself. It tells her friends you have confidence and cannot be intimidated. Intimidation equals manipulation equals no respect and her friends aren’t going to go to bat for you if they don’t respect you. Taking the initiative also lets her friends know you are not just putting on an act because your girlfriend insists you meet them.

Once you get acquainted with her friends do everything possible to remember their names but more than that, DON’T mix up their names later on. It doesn’t matter if they all dress and act alike; calling one of her friends by the wrong name is a major gaffe. How bad is it? It’s almost as bad as calling your girlfriend by the wrong name (ouch!). Use whatever word association tricks you need to keep the names straight.

You’re in it now so don’t sit there like a statue. Get involved in the conversation .This shows that you are interested in getting to know them. Don’t hog the conversation but take an active part. Your girlfriend will appreciate the effort and more important her friends will have no reason not to like you. In the beginning at least (Hey that’s life. You’re trying to be Mr. Wonderful not Captain Perfect).

Now comes the balancing act. Your girlfriend may want you to take an interest in her friends but don’t go overboard. Getting to know her friends is one thing but if she senses you’re flirting (and women are very in tune to that sort of thing) or ignoring her in your effort to be friendly, it can cause problems or doom the relationship. Exercise caution when meeting her friends. Take an interest but not too much.

Listen carefully when you meet her friends for the first time. Try to hang on to as much information about them as possible. After the meeting when you’re alone with your girlfriend, make a casual comment or ask a question RELATED to the earlier meeting. This lets her know that you were listening and that you have a real interest in getting to know her friends. Again this is a balancing act but for the most part you can pretty much figure that saying “you’re girlfriend with the blue dress and cute dimples looked hot” is asking for trouble.

Your girlfriend’s buddies are probably going to play a significant role in whether or not the relationship survives. Yes, it can seem like one long job interview but try to make a genuine effort to get to know her friends. Since you will probably be spending quite a bit of time with them, starting a courteous, respectful relationship can only make your girlfriend happy and your life a whole lot easier.
