Secrets Of The Reiki Symbols And Reiki Healing You Can Do For Yourself

Posted by Taratara in Metaphysical

Reiki symbols are passed from Reiki Master to Reiki Master and are most commonly used for healing and protection. Of Japanese origin, the secrecy of the Reiki symbols is actually a Western tradition. It is not uncommon in Japan to see Reiki symbols displayed very openly, even in public places.

There are several schools of thought when it comes to Reiki. One is that you must be trained in the correct way to use a Reiki symbol before you will be able to activate the benefits.

There is only one way that the symbol will work according to these schools of thought, and you must draw or use the symbol correctly each time in order to activate it.

Other ways of thinking state that you can draw the symbol, trace it with your hand, or even just say the name of the symbol out loud or in your head once you are trained.

One area in which the various ways of thinking agree, though, is that you must have a Reiki Attunement before you can use the symbols.

This gets your body used to the Reiki energy and prepares you to use the Life Force Energy. Depending on the symbols that the Reiki Master uses on you, the effect may be permanent or temporary.

The question that most have, though, is, that if Reiki is something that can only be taught and enabled by a Master, then how did it get started?

With study and dedication, it may just be possible for you to learn to attune yourself without the help of a Reiki Master.

However, if you choose to, you may be able to pay for an attunement anyway. In fact there are even places to learn to do your own Reiki attunement online so that you have no need of classes.

Some of the most common Reiki symbols are the following:

a) Cho Ku Ray - Power

This symbol increases the Reiki power that you are using, brining energy from the rest of the world around you to focus it exactly where you want it.

b) Sei Hei Ki - Mental or Emotional

This symbol indicates the divine within us, making humanity and God into one. It is used to create an emotional release after a build up in the recipient of the energy, and can be used to focus to heal and calm the mind.

c) Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen - Distance

This symbol indicates that the God in the sender greets the God in the recipient. It is used to promote peace and enlightenment, and is used to send Reiki healing energy across a distance to perform distance healing.

There are twelve basic hand positions for self-treatment with Reiki. The first is with both hands over your face and eyes, with your nose and mouth exposed. Your palms should be cupping your eyes, no pressure needed. The second is with both hands on your head just behind or above your ears. Your fingertips should meet at the crown of your head.

The third is with both hands resting behind your head. One should rest just above the nape of your neck, and the other should be just above it. The fourth is with your chin resting in the palms of your hands. Your fingers should stretch along your jaw line.

The fifth is with one hand around your throat gently, with your thumb to one side and your fingers to the other. Your other hand should rest on your chest just below your collarbone. The sixth is with your hands resting on your upper rib cage. For women, this means that your hands are placed just below the breasts.

The seventh is with your fingertips touching above your solar plexus, your hands to each side. The eighth is with one hand along each side of your pelvic bone. Your fingers should be touching.

The ninth is with your hands on the backs of your shoulders or on your shoulder blades. You should be reaching up and over your shoulders to get in this position. The tenth is with your hands meeting at the fingertips in the center of your back.

The eleventh is with your fingertips meeting at your low back. The twelfth is with your hands resting in the sacral region, meeting about at your tailbone.

When you lay your hands on one of these healing energy points, you are meant to draw energy though the channels of your body rather than trying to push your energy out through your hands or otherwise draw from some parts of your body to the others. Instead, look to draw the energy through the channels in your body from the world around you.

Four Spells For Health And Wellness

Posted by Vgevge in Metaphysical

Here are some simple but powerful spells for various purposes. They can be practiced by anyone who believes in them.

Physical (and Mental) Health Spell

Ingredients:
1 white candle
1 yellow candle
1 orange candle
Altar or small table

Directions:
Place the candles on the altar so that the white is in the center, the yellow to its left and the orange to its right. Light the white candle and say aloud:

This candle is lit to renew my spirit

Light the yellow candle while saying:

This flame fires up my imaginations.

Light the orange candle while saying:

This flame makes my body strong and healthy.

Thank the candles for their assistance and extinguish.

Simple Home Protection Spell

Ingredients
A collection of threads of various colors
Scissors
A small container with a tight lid

Directions:
Using the scissors, cut the threads into inch long pieces and allow them to fall into the jar as you say:

Bits of thread, protection shed.

When the jar becomes full, close the lid and draw a pentagram on the lid with your finger. In order to charge it with the protective powers you are seeking, state the following:

Oh, Hestia of the hearth and home-
Guard my family with your might.
Protect them from all ills that roam,
With this little jar, sealed tight.
Protect this home, oh Hestia too,
Confine all evil to this jar.
Bring good vibrations- old and new-
And grant good will from near and far.

Place the jar in a central location of your home or near a particularly troubling area.

Recharge Psychic Energy

1 to 2 drops of jasmine oil
1 to 2 drops of geranium oil
a small oil burner
3 clear Quartz crystals

Directions:

Prepare yourself with a soothing bath infused with salts. Dry off and head into a room where you can lie down comfortably. Lay one quartz crystal in between your eyebrows, where the third eye chakra is located. Hold the other crystals one in each hand. The one on your head should point down and the others up. Imagine a surge of warm golden energy flowing through your feet and raising up through the rest of your body, into the palms where it will light the crystals. The energy keeps moving into your head and exit through your third eye chakra. Your powers have been recharged.

Repair Your Self Esteem

Ingredients:
A handful of bay leaves
Lavender oil
1 purple candle
1 yellow candle
Jasmine oil
Purple thread

Directions:

Run a bath to your depth and temperature preferences. Stir in the lavender oil and bay leaves. Light the candles and enter the bath. With closed eyes, visualize a confident warm orange light entering your body with every breath while a doubting gray light exits with your exhalations. Visualize a yellow colored light around your head that slips down your body, covering every inch of you. State aloud six times:

I am gorgeous,
I am beautiful,
I am a Goddess.

Exit the bath, blow out the candles and thread the bay leaves on the thread. When you feel the self esteem leaving you again, heat the jasmine in a burner, light the candles and hold up the leaves while repeating the above chant.

How To Do An Effective Yet Powerful Chakra Healing And Cleansing

Posted by Taratara in Metaphysical

The word Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means circle or wheel, and it is used to describe certain points of energy in our bodies. These points of energy range from our groin, which is red, up to the top of our heads, rising through the colors of the rainbow as they go. There are a total of 7 chakras, which represent the points of high energy concentration or energy ports in our bodies.

By cleansing, healing, or opening our chakras, we can help get rid of some of the accumulated junk that builds up in our bodies or in our auras. This spiritual waste matter can clog these ports, affecting our health, our emotions, and our well being.

1) What are Chakra Blocks

Chakra blocks can come from emotional issues, traumas, and more. Clearing our chakras can involve dealing with these issues, but is mostly a meditative process that involved moving and dealing with energy.

If you are inexperienced in chakra work, it can be beneficial to have someone else help you with your first cleansing, guiding you through the process or even doing the cleansing themselves while you observe your energy flows to determine how what they are doing works with your energy.

With practice, it is wonderful to be able to do your own chakra cleansings and to take care of the blocked energy pathways on your own.

2) How to do Chakra Healing

If you want to do a chakra cleansing yourself, you can begin with simple visualization and energy work. Begin by imagining a root growing from between your legs down into the ground. You can feel the energy of the earth coming up through this root, and you can send your excess energy back down again to keep yourself in balance. Make sure that you are comfortable, then begin breathing deeply.

With each inhale, imagine the energy filling you until you feel completely full of light and energy. Picture your lowest chakra at the base of your spine as a closed flower bud.

Imagine it opening to the feel of the light energy inside you, and blossoming. Take a moment to enjoy the red flower, then move to your next chakra.

The chakra, in order, are red at the base of your spine, orange at your pelvis, yellow at your solar-plexus (where your rib cage meets), green at your heart, blue at your throat, indigo in the center of your head, and violet at the crown of your head.

3) Exercising Each Chakra

The following are some exercises to help you if you feel that you have a blockage in any of your seven chakra. You can perform the exercises quickly and easily, and they will help you to keep your chakra open and functional.

For your Red chakra, stomp around the house, do squats, or march. You want to get really physical, particularly with the legs. If you have exercise equipment, try leg presses.

For your Orange chakra, move your pelvis. You can do pelvic thrusts or just swivel your hips around. Dancing is good for this, but make sure to focus on your pelvis.

For your Yellow chakra, dance around the house. Movement is good, so do the twist and open up your chest.

For your Green chakra, do push ups, hug yourself, or do other exercises that involve your chest muscles (like a breast stroke).

For your Blue chakra, sing, scream, howl, and make some noise. You can also try cleansing it with a salt water gargle.

For your Indigo chakra, try a mental exercise like remote viewing, lucid dreaming or simple visualizations. This can take practice to work effectively.

For your Violet chakra, try prayer or meditation to get the crown of your head to really open up. The key is to feel a connection with the divine.

You can also try vibration exercises. Make an intoning sound (also called vibrating); many people use Om. Adjust the sound until it resonates with the chakra that you are trying to open (you will feel it with that part of your body). You can also do this multiple times to clear each of the seven chakras.

One last exercise is to try physical stimulation. Gently pat the part of the body that houses each chakra (do not be shy as shame in your body can block your chakras right up).

You can also try other stimulation, like a vibrating massager, or put some of your favorite music on a pair of headphones, crank the music up all the way, and press the headphones to each chakra (not on your ears!)

How To Use Intention To Build Your Business

Posted by Marycdavis in Metaphysical

When I started my first business almost ten years ago, I was afflicted with what I now jokingly call “Business Vagueness Syndrome” (BVS). At that time, I had only a vague sense of the purpose of my business and, subsequently, I had no clear intentions and no written business plan. Energetically, my business was giving out weak and cloudy signals, and the results I attracted back reflected this.

As someone who has recovered from BVS and its associated discomforts, I can attest to the value of creating key intentions for your business — the second step of the inspired business planning process. Clarity about your intentions for your business comes from focussing on your higher purpose. By setting your intentions for your business from this state of consciousness, you’ll activate the support of the most powerful force in the universe.

The Power of Intention

“Intent is a force that exists in the universe. When sorcerers (those who live of the Source) beckon intent, it comes to them and sets up the path for attainment, which means that sorcerers always accomplish what they set out to do.”

– Carlos Castaneda, The Active Side of Infinity

Source, the Creator, Pure Awareness, Higher Consciousness — these are all words used to identify the field of intention that exists behind all creation. Numerous spiritual traditions, teachers and scientists have pointed to the existence of this higher energy dimension that we can all tap into and use. In fact, as Wayne Dyer says in his book, The Power of Intention, it’s “a force we all have within us — a field of energy that flows invisibly beyond the reach of our normal, everyday habitual patterns.” How cool is that?

And when you consciously set intentions that come from your higher purpose, you’re in complete alignment with this universal force that allows the act of creation to take place. Talk about setting yourself up for success the metaphysical way, with ease and grace! Your role in this co-creative process is to quieten your mind and get as clear as possible about what you’re intending to create.

Mind Mapping Your Intentions

Mind mapping is a tool that may help you clarify and verbalize your business intentions. People have used mind maps for centuries, but the concept has more recently evolved through the work of psychology author, Tony Buzan. A mind map engages both your left and right brain simultaneously, allowing you to tap into your full mental capacity and intuition.

Consider using an adapted version of this tool that integrates the Abraham-Hicks tool “What I Want and Why I Want It”. To do this, draw a circle in the center of a blank piece of paper. In this circle, write what you’ve articulated is the higher purpose of your business (this also serves as your primary intention). For example, my business’s statement of higher purpose is to model and facilitate awakening with healers/wellness professionals through money and all forms of prosperity as expressed through business. This is what I have in the center circle of my mind map.

Next, create a series of smaller circles around the main circle and attach them to the main circle with lines. In these circles, write all the intentions that will help you to fulfil your higher purpose. To inspire your creativity with this exercise, here’s a list of intentions from my mind map:

- I intend to build my business management and administrative capabilities.

- I intend to broaden my business support network.

- I intend to build heart-centered relationships with my target market.

- I intend to create and offer transformational programs, services and products for my target market.

- I intend to offer my services and products to my target market with integrity and in ways that feel authentic to me.

- I intend to allow financial flow in my business and increase its profitability.

When you’ve completed this part of the exercise, at the right side of each intention circle, write all the reasons you want to fulfil that particular intention. Attach each reason to its respective intention circle with a line. Then at the left side of each intention circle, list all the reasons you know you will fulfil that intention and attach each reason to the circle with a line.

Through this exercise, you’ll activate your inner sorcerer. By clarifying and enhancing your intentions and increasing your trust in their fulfilment, you’ll summon the amazing power of the universal mind of intention as your #1 business partner.

The Meaning Of The Most Popular Occult Symbols

The most popular of occult symbols is the Endless knot. Although many versions of endless knot exist, the most popular one is the pentagram. This five pointed star was used by almost all the ancient cultures including China, Greece, Europe, Latin America, India as well as Egypt. References to this occult symbol has been found in the Neolithic cave walls, Babylonian paintings and in even in Scriptures.

According to the Greek philosopher Pythagoras, five was the number of man and each of the five points of the pentagram represents the five elements water, earth, spirit, fire and air. The top corner represents the crown of the human head and the remaining four points represent the tips of the limbs. In the Kabbalistic tradition, the pentagram is also believed to represent justice, mercy, wisdom, understanding and awe-inspiring beauty.

The pentagram is considered so powerful that it is used in magickal purposes to forge a connection to the creative universal energies. It is also used in magickal tools, rituals and sacred jewelry.

The Circle is a symbol for the cycle of eternal life. In its simplest form, it is the universal symbol of Unity, infinity, the Moon or Goddess. To pagans, it represents Mother Earth of the feminine spirit of the Cosmos. The circle with a dot represents the male energy merging with female spirits. A quartered circle symbolizes the four directional spirits of the East, South, West and North. In Native American traditions, it is used in the form of a medicine wheel during ceremonies. Everyday uses of the circle include the wedding ring, the sacred circle cast in rituals and the number zero.

Eye of Horus is another symbol that has been used for centuries. Horus was the Egyptian falcon God and the Eye of Horus resembles the falcon%u2019s eye. It is also said to represent the Sun god Ra. This occult symbol is believed to ward off evil energies and is also connected to mathematical proportions of medical preparations. This symbol may be seen in many buildings, in crowns used by royalty as well as in protective amulets and other jewelry. The Masonic Eye found on American dollar bill, is descended from the Eye of Horus.

The Tao is an ancient Chinese symbol that has become very popular. It usually consists of two interlocked symbols, one white and the other black. Tao is also a Chinese character which represents a path or way. In its manifested state, Tao symbolizes yin and yang, the aspects of life, sometimes believed to be the female energy and the male energy.

The Swastika is an ancient occult symbol which combines the Sun and the four directions of the Earth. This ancient occult symbol of the cross inscribed in a circle (see Circle above) also signifies the joining of heaven and earth or the perfect being that we all are. Another version of the Swastika with four labyrinths denotes mystical, lunar or female energies. Although the loathsome Nazis abused this symbol, it continues to be used in many cultures to celebrate the fact that we are all perfect human beings.

Two Basic Love Spells For Beginners

Posted by Vgevge in Metaphysical

Please Advertise Here

The following basic love spells may seem interchangeable and in a way that is true. They will both open you up to the arrival of a new love in your life. But the second spell, Attract a Lover, is better used when you already have a specific person in mind whose love you would like to receive.

The first spell, Find a Lover, will put the message out into the universe that you are ready for whatever lover would like to enter your life at this moment. Keep in mind that due to the laws of the Wiccan Rede, you can’t actually force anyone into falling in love with you. The spell can only encourage feelings that they may already have. If you cast the spell and nothing happens, consider that the person may not have that feeling towards you existent in their heart.

Like most love spells, these draw on the power of the moon and are best done during stronger moon phases. Although the directions mention altars, it can be a makeshift set up using a table if you are a newer practitioner. The ingredients are more important than the backdrop.

Find a Lover

Ingredients:
Incense formulated for a love spell (available online and at New Age stores)
Light pink candle
Pink cloth
White cloth
Ritual knife

Directions:

This spell absolutely needs to be done at night since you are calling on the moon. The stronger the moon phase, the stronger the spell will be so timing is a bit of an issue here. If the weather doesn’t permit you to go outside, you can do the whole ritual inside but ideally you should take the unlit candle outside and hold it up in the direction of the moon. State the traits that you are looking for in a lover and make it clear to the Goddess that you want this person in your life.

Return indoors to your altar bearing the cloths. Light the incense and concentrate on visualizing your dream lover. Carve “true love” into the side of the candle with your ritual knife. Place it in a holder and light the candle. Speak the following words:

The moon above so full of grace,
Bring my lover and me face to face.
With all my heart, I long to see
That certain lover that was meant to be.

Finish by thanking the Goddess for her assistance. Allow the pink candle to burn itself out completely before cleaning up the altar area.

Attract a Lover

Ingredients:
One dark pink candle
Two light pink candles
A cauldron
A wand
Love incense (found online or in New Age stores)

Directions:

Place the cauldron in the center of your altar, flanked by the two light pink candles. The dark pink candle should be set inside the cauldron. Light the incense and the exterior candles. With your wand, tap the cauldron three times. State these words out loud:

One seeks (him/her), one finds (him/her)
One attracts (him/her), one binds (him/her)
Heart to heart, together as one.
This I state and the spell is done.

Make three taps on your cauldron again with the wand. Light the dark pink candle and allow it to burn out before clearing your altar.
